Services
In my time as a therapist I have helped my clients gain understanding of loss, bereavement, anger, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and relationships. As a fully qualified therapist and registered member of the BACP I adhere to the BACP's ethical framework in all my work. I practise an Integrative model, meaning I utilise and integrate a variety of therapy styles, to give you the best support, tailored to your needs.
Therapy can be accessed at any point by any one and while helpful for those that are having difficulties, therapy can also be useful as a means to reflect on and examine life events and navigate life challenges. It can help you gain self awareness, understanding and empathy. Therapy can be a great aid in helping discover what you truly want from life and what it is that is really important to you.
Online counselling is very similar in many ways to traditional face to face counselling, except rather than meeting the counselling room meetings occur online usually via a video conferencing app such as Zoom, Skype, FaceTime etc. The main advantages to online counselling are logistical. There is no need to travel across town to get to the therapy room.
We are often elsewhere in our day to day life, either running on automatic pilot or thinking about the future or the past. Mindfulness can be practised at any time simply by observing what is happening right now. Stopping to take a moment to smell the flowers, to listen to the rustle of the leaves in the trees, to take the time to taste the food we are eating.
