I’m shocked this place has four stars never seen anywhere quite as bad as this. CQC need to visit and shut this place down must’ve paid the CQC to get the outstanding review. Management are the worst very unapproachable and very passive aggressive it’s all about the profit for them not about the poor people who live here feel sorry for them.

After a terrible year, a big thank you to all the nurses, carers and management at Fonthill House for looking after my daughter with such loving dedication and professionalism. Your example has been truly inspirational. My family and I knew from the minute that we first walked into Fonthill, that it was the right place. Such a wonderfully warm environment. We could not be happier to be a part of the Fonthill family.

I am so grateful to the staff at Fonthill who look after my elderly relative with dedication, love and care. I have had complete peace of mind during the Pandemic, knowing that she is so well looked after and that has been a huge relief. Caroline and her team are wonderful and it is a shame that all elderly people cannot see out their days at Fonthill.

Do not send anyone you love to this awful place.
They only care about money- not about your elderly relative!
Rude management and incompetent staff.

It is coming up for our 3rd Christmas at Fonthill. Our experience is of a resident and family focused care home. Good retention of staff gives great continuity for my mother in law. We have found all staff, clinical , hospitality, housekeeping and reception to be welcoming and helpful at all times. It is encouraged to raise any questions and these are soon answered often with a family / staff chat. They go the extra mile to help residents feel that this is their home. Very strong clinical leadership has made the current Covid situation go very smoothly despite all the challenges it has presented

The every day care by the care staff was very good. We were totally let down by the management of the care home during the last days of my father's life. He was in end of life care and suffered from dementia. He was frighted and did call out during the night. The Director of Nursing phoned us to say we were either to give them more money or the family would have to come in and help look after him. My father died the day after we were told this.

After spending the weekend visiting my Grandfather at Fonthill House I could not rate it highly enough. The staff are so caring and attentive and the home itself is beautiful.
