Situated in the heart of West Kirby, Abbeyfield is designed to combine the best of modern design and technology with the highest levels of supportive care and comfort for residents. Abbeyfield offers care in 3 comfortable, home-from-home environments. The teams at Abbeyfield are highly experienced and provide both a holistic approach to care and a friendly, personal service to each of our residents.
Working in close collaboration with residents and their family; we ensure that every need is catered for, and our residents feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive. Abbeyfield is a home for our residents: should needs or requirements change throughout their stay, we are happy and able to continue to provide the highest level of care.

Services
The Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby Society, like all Abbeyfield Societies, is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making the lives of the older people easier and more fulfilling. We help people to live independently by providing a range of services, all of which are linked to the local community.
We're delighted to announce that Sarah, who has been at Abbeyfield for quite some time, is our new Care Manager. Residents and staff at Lear House have been keeping busy during the current lockdown period. We marked Easter with a beautiful display created by staff member Lucie and our traditional Easter Bonnet competition with prizes for everyone who joined in.
Lear House opened in 1963 and is a Residential Care Home managed by our registered care manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the home for the well-being of our residents. She is also responsible for organising the care staff who are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as the kitchen and domestic staff.
Elliot House began its life as a Sheltered/Support Living House. Elliot House is an annex to Lear House (registered with CQC) but it is also proving to be very popular for people seeking respite care; the homely atmosphere of Elliot House lends itself particularly well for this. The facilities at Elliot are all located on ground floor level.
In the UK residential care homes - usually just called Care Homes - are for older people who require a personalised level of care which promotes their independence. The key to our care is the peace of mind we give our residents. We are there for people who find it difficult to look after themselves and want to have the security of highly skilled staff on-site 24 hours a day.
