The pre-school is open to every family in the community. The waiting list is operated on a "first come, first served" basis (with regard to age). We are usually able to accommodate people who are new to the area, or who have recently applied, but please be aware that places available for children under the age of three are limited.
A named bag with a change of clothes, together with nappies and wipes, where applicable. Your child may bring a comforter if necessary. Try not to bring anything too precious, just in case it gets lost. Milk or water and a healthy snack are provided mid - session. All children are encouraged to drink from our cups rather than beakers and remain seated during this period.
Staff need to anticipate problems, redirect and remove difficulties, using positive reinforcement and encouragement. A time out period should be given (not using a naughty chair) in a quiet area away from the other children, with one of the adults. Communication with the parent/carer should be dealt with by the Play Leader (or substitute) at the session.
