We aim to work with you to ensure that your child has the very best start to their education at this pre-school. We hope that you can be confident that your child will feel secure and happy, and that you can become involved in the work of the pre-school if you so wish. We have developed strong links with the local primary schools.
We aim to provide opportunities for your child to visit, and be visited by, the Reception teachers. This should mean that the transition to school will be a happy and stress free event for everyone. Our core hours are 9.00-3pm early drop off and late pick up must be used in addition to our core hours.

Services
We provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment where children and their families feel welcome and where children can develop their social and educational skills to their full potential at their own pace. We value every child as an individual and focus on the whole child by providing high quality care and education.
We are able to apply for government funding for children the term after their 3rd birthday. We are funded to provide Pre-school for 38 weeks a year. And we are open for 3 hours per session, 6 hrs per day plus the option of early starts and late finish for 38 weeks a year. All parents have the right to use the government funding for their child, from the term after the child's third birthday.
The pre-school operates a system whereby a member of staff is allocated as your child's key worker. Your child's key person will work with you to make sure that what the pre-school provides is right for your child's particular needs and interests. The key person will help your child to settle in and throughout the time at pre-school will help your child to benefit from the pre-school's activities.
The pre-school encourages children to gain skills which help them to be independent and look after themselves. These include taking themselves to the toilet, and taking off, and putting on, outdoor clothes. Clothing which is easy for them to manage will help them to do this. Due to health and safety reasons, the only jewellery the children are permitted to wear is small stud earrings to pre-school.
We aim to include all children in our pre-school. Mrs Joanna Gallant and Mrs Zoe Crosby are our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (Senco). They works closely with parents and keyworkers to ensure individual needs are met. They will liaise with the Area SENCO and outside agencies if a child needs particular support.
