A purpose built extension to the rear now provides accommodation for 12 residents on the ground floor with the remaining on the first floor, which is serviced by a chair lift. There is a lovely homely atmosphere at Ravenswing Manor and residents are encouraged to bring treasured items such as pictures, ornaments and small pieces of furniture.
We have two chefs who prepare all the meals, whenever possible using fresh locally sourced ingredients. We appreciate the input and ideas from our residents to help us create our menus. We understand that the importance of the presentation of our food is equally as important as its nutritional content.
Our dedicated activity co-ordinators work closely with our residents and family members to develop a personalised programme of activities and outings to suit interests of our residents. Regular activities within the home include arts and crafts, board games, group discussions, invited speakers and accompanied walks to the park opposite the home.
We have recently acquired our own 12 seater mini bus which is fully equipped and wheelchair accessible. We will be offering regular excursions to local sights and events. Our drivers together with our care staff are dedicated to ensuring our trips out are enjoyable and rewarding for all. Some of the excursions we have planned include: Blackpool Illuminations, Lytham St Annes, Morecambe.
