Staff were (mainly) nice. Great location. Very clean. BUT:
Blind was broken and wasn't fixed until now. Was a really uncomfortable feeling because my neighbours from the other side were able to look inside my room. I was able to turn every bar individually a little bit but always had to climb up to desk to do that. That shouldn't be the standard of a four star hotel.
Another room was offered the first night (Thursday) when I reported it. I didn't take the offer because it was ensured that it will be fixed the next day (still isn't - Monday) after that no discount or room change was offered even

I love that place! The service is the best in the world, the rooms very spacious, the bathroom was huge and everything was super clean. The only thing I would improve a little bit is light in bathrooms. It is too dark there and doing makeup may be a little bit challenging.
Next time in Edinburgh, I will definitely want to stay in this hotel!

This was our second stay in about 18 months. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is continental style but good choice. The hotel is really convenient for York Place tram stop. Attractions are easily accessible. To note that the building is quite old so quite quirky. I think four old houses knocked into one hotel. Lots of stairs.
