The Sportsmans Inn is a traditional olde worlde Ivybridge pub with the added bonus of also serving as a 14-bedroom hotel. Here, we take pride in the values of a bygone age, where service and personal touches are what made the pubs of England great. Located in the heart of Ivybridge in Devon, The Sportsmans Inn is a quaint country pub and hotel, just a 15-minute drive from Plymouth and a short journey from the stunning landscapes of Dartmoor.
Whether you visit our pub for a drink from our extensively stocked bar or choose to have a light snack or a delicious a la carte meal in our restaurant, The Sportsmans Inn offers a relaxing experience that's perfect for cosy evenings, parties or family celebrations and get-togethers with friends.

Services
We have a large restaurant area open for breakfast and dinner 7 days a week. Our extensive restaurant menu also features a selection of daily specials and we pride ourselves on the quality of our food which is always freshly prepared, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. If you only want a cup of coffee then feel free to drop in, the kettle is always on and the door is always open.
Our stunning 14-room hotel offers a peaceful, tranquil and relaxing break in the Devon countryside. With a choice of double, single and family hotel rooms, we have something to suit all budgets and requirements. With plenty of amenities in Ivybridge town centre, including a train station, caf's, shops and a cinema, there's no shortage of things to keep you occupied.
When booking a room at The Sportsmans Inn, you will need to pay a deposit of 10 per room, per night. Check-in is from 3pm onwards (late arrivals are not a problem) and check out is by 10:30 am. Have eaten here more times than I can remember, and apart from one time we have always had good food. This occasion was no different.
Stayed at the Ivybridge Hotel after being stranded nearby and the staff were brilliant, sorting out a taxi and even offering me a cup of tea whilst I waited (thanks Amanda)! Really really nice Full English, all part of a very reasonably priced B&B stay. Really loved the food omelette amazing and bri and cranberry sandwich come with lovely salad and chips and omelette had chips and peas was very quite that suited us.

Arrived at the pub on my bicycle. The pub was very quiet and the rear patio doors were open, so I sat indoors and put my spotless road bike just inside the door so I could keep an eye on it as I had forgotten my bike lock. The owner barked at me from across the pub and I felt I was being told off like I was a naughty schoolboy. A little bit of politeness might go a long way perhaps!! Did not feel particularly welcome.
