Boringdon Hall Hotel & Spa
Stay in the historical Boringdon Hall and experience a past that stretches back as far as the Domesday Book. Our grand Devonshire manor became crown property following the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII in 1539. The monarch later granted the property to his courtier Thomas Wriothesley, the Earl of Southampton, who was a royal favourite.

Since then, Boringdon Hall has since had a rather extravagant makeover, giving this stately pile a serious air of perfection, with devotedly designed interiors, 42 sumptuous rooms and suites, a well-stocked bar and two tantalising restaurants - the 3 AA Rosette claf, Mayflower Brasserie and the Great Hall where lighter bites and afternoon tea is served.

Wonderful location for any occasion. To be honest didn't expected the hotel being on outskirts of Plymouth/plympton. On pictures it looked like it is somewhere else. More like edge of Dartmoor. Easy to get to. Just visited restaurant but have to come back for overnight stay and visit of spa.

What a stunning combination of 10th and 21st century architecture. The spa was exquisite and the restaurant was one of the best dining experience I have ever had. It was enhanced by the amazing staff which really made the whole this stay special.

What a treat! Loved my 2 night stay. Fantastic fayre at the Acleaf Restaurant nothing was too much trouble, such lovely knowledgeable staff. Gaia spa was relaxing and offered lots of lovely treatments. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for - if you want the best you have to pay for it.
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are spacious and spotless. I would definitely go again - once I've saved up a bit!

Beautiful surroundings and friendly, helpful staff. The food looks lovely, although the vegan options are disappointing and limited. Room for growth there but otherwise a wonderful location and a warm welcome awaits visitors.

We booked a Gaia spa day for 4 of us as a 40th birthday surprise for my sister and what a treat it was! It surpassed all our expectations. The fabulous spa, the best afternoon tea I have ever tasted, and the friendly, helpful, caring staff. Jessica’s hot stone massage was unbelievable and made me feel transformed. We left all our stresses behind ready to face life anew. A magical experience. Thank you so much!

After a one night stay we didn't want to leave. A truly relaxing experience from the moment we arrived. Evert member of staff we encountered was friendly and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. The food at the mayflower restaurant was exceptional. Just the right balance of flavours. The glass of champagne on the house was a lovely touch. Comfortable and clean rooms. The spa never felt over crowded and had excellent facilities. Would highly recommend.

Wow. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Beautiful location. Lovely spa which never felt overcrowded and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Even the on-site maintenance team made and effort to greet us as we passed them. The atmosphere was just so pleasant.
I’d like to say a special thank you to Daniel the bartender. Not only was he a lovely guy but he went out of his way to look after us and even made us special cocktails from his own recipe. I hope the “Boringdon Lady” makes it onto the cocktail list by the next time we come and visit, which will without a doubt be in a few

Stunning place to visit.Great afternoon tea.Thought fizzy water £4 per bottle overpriced. Staff friendly and helpful. I did not like the fact one waitress was cleaning the table next to us with a spray which wafted in a cloud over to us. I understand especially in these times that cleanliness is uppermost BUT I think it could have been cleaned more discreetly if that make sense maybe with the antibacterial wipes. We did not point this out at the time but having given this some thought decided to mention it.

We had a lovely night's stay here with a meal at the Mayflower Brasserie. They gave us a free glass of champagne each to enjoy during the stay, which was a nice touch. The building is amazing, with wonderful original charm and character, creaky floorboards and all. We enjoyed the spa - there are 4 steam/sauna rooms, however one room wasn't operating. The meal at the Mayflower was lovely and flavourful - the portions looked small at first, but we were actually very full after wards! The accompanying bread and tarragon butter was delicious! The staff were excellent, we had a young trainee waiter
