This is a great place to learn about the work that goes on in our school and celebrate with us the many and varied successes of our students. Rasharkin Primary School first opened, on its current spacious site, in 1973. We cater for both boys and girls, from 4 - 11 years and have an average of ten children in each year group.
As a small school we place great value on the close relationships that can be formed with children, their parents and their extended families. We aim to ensure that during their time with us, all children are provided with the values, skills, knowledge and abilities that will develop them, not only academically, but physically, social and morally too.

Services
We are delighted that you are interested in finding out more about Rasharkin Primary School. We believe that your child deserves the best and so our staff are highly trained, committed and talented professionals who work hard to ensure that each child receives an excellent start to their school journey; academically, socially and emotionally.
The Education Authority now provides a digital service to enable all P1 applications to be made online. This service was introduced two years ago and works well. Due to the current restrictions we are unable to offer you and your child the opportunity to visit our school. If however you have any queries that can be answered by a conversation, please feel free to contact the principal who would be delighted to talk to you.
Please remember nuts or products containing nuts should not be brought into school, thank you. A Parent Information Booklet is also available here which contains information about the day-to-day running of our school. Please contact the school office to view paper copies of either of these documents.
School policies cover many aspects of school life. Here are some of our policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask at the office or contact your child's teacher. If you have a concern relating to Child Protection and Safeguarding please contact a member of our Safeguarding team.
We take pride in how well our children look in their school uniform and expect all children to wear the appropriate uniform each day. Please see below for details of our uniform. School sweatshirts and cardigans may be purchased online, from the school supplier. Waterproof coats and book bags (with school logo), ties or polo shirts are available from the school office.
