We are situated on a picturesque site on the outskirts of Ballymena and have 291 pupils on roll aged 4-11. We are immensely proud of our reputation for high academic standards, pastoral care, extra curricular provision and our warm and friendly atmosphere. We have high expectations of our children, parents and staff and benefit from the positive relationships with our parents.
The work of the school has been testified by the many awards received. Please come and see Carniny first hand and experience its happy atmosphere - you are assured of a warm welcome.

Carniny Primary School has well exceeded my expectations. The caring attitude is evident in all staff members and is mirrored in the pupil's attitudes. Children are actively encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life and are openly rewarded and praised for exemplary behaviour. Teachers openly interact with parents making the school environment more inviting.
Class Councils were introduced throughout the school, from P1-P7, offering all pupils the opportunity to experience what it is like to participate in a "formal" meeting, with a Chairperson and Secretary, and a specific agenda. Two elected representatives from each P4-7 class bring items for discussion to our School Council meetings.
