Services
We're almost back to normal times however, we are still not permitting standing drinking at the bar, so tables ahead of your booking time cannot be guaranteed. You can book online for a maximum of x11 guests, we do not accept bookings greater than this. We are an independent restaurant and rely on reservations being honoured.
Unfortunately we don't access pre - orders sent via email or via the pre order form over a weekend. We only have access to these Mon - Fri 9am - 3pm. We offer AA 4 Star self catering accommodation and en-suite rooms, all of which are situated in the heart of the busy market and festival town of Ulverston, therefor handy for everything.

Been here quite a few times over the years, certainly less since moving away from Ulv, but it's always a good place to go when I visit my family and friends in ulverston. Good food and good atmosphere. The staff are all lovely too. Can get a bit crowded on the usual busy nights, but it's mostly not a problem. If you fancy a casual sit down, it's relatively quiet at lunch in my experience

Been here a few times over the years. The food is good, with plenty of options and they cater for Gluten Free/ Coeliacs. They have a great beer garden out the back, which is great in the summertime.

Friendly helpful staff to decide which beer to have. Also helped with directions to Hoads Hill. Meals are around £15 but didn't have time to eat.

Unfortunately we were met by a really rude member of staff. Manners cost nothing and respect is a two way street.

Went to R&C tonight and sat outside. I ordered the muscles and they were lovely. Took around 15 minutes to arrive. Have had them before and they did not disappoint tonight. They are plentiful and are severed with chunky chips and baguette. The bread is perfect for dipping into the white wine sauce once you've managed to clear some shells off your plate - which is easy to do as a empty shell bowl is provided. Highly recommended the muscles, especially eaten alfresco in the sunshine 🌞

I ordered the Gammon Steak, which was the worst thing you could have in this restaurant. My friends ordered Lamb, burgers and chicken, and they found the meals quite good.
Good vibes here. But don’t order the dark-force gammon steak!!!!!!
