We phoned ad hoc on Wednesday and was advised we could have a table for 3 at 6pm but needed the table back at 8pm which we were more than happy with. When we got there, Dan was very attentive, asked us where we wanted to sit and we said outside which he then advised it may rain but we still went for outside. He gave us time to read the menus and did not rush us. Well, the food was outstanding. Before the mains were brought out, Rob came to us and advised we may want to move to a table with a heater (which l am glad we did). Food was piping hot and delicious, definitely recommend the mussels, salmon

Nice meal. Sat upstairs overlooking the marina by large balcony doors. Attentive polite staff. Good menu. Food cooked promptly and well. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. You can park in nearby public carpark or take a pleasant 15min stroll back through the NT parkland to the rather more hectic Bowness.

The service was incredible. The young gentleman was very attentive and gave his recommendations and they didn't disappoint.
Great location and with it being sunny it was a wonderful dining experience.
We sat outside and it wasn't too cold at all.
We had the halloumi fries and hummus with home made flat bread for starters which were incredible and defiantly the star of the show.
I had the crab and king prawn risotto and my boyfriend had the lamb and mint burger which was good but didn't compare to the starters.
My partner had the swan blonde beer which was recommended to him and he really enjoyed

Despite the warnings, we turned up at the boathouse without a booking ,on Wednesday evening but were greeted warmly and able to have a table outside in the unexpected sunshine. My wife did not want anything too heavy so had the Garlic prawns starter with a side of fries which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the duck leg with peppercorn sauce , slightly underwhelming but fine.
Followed by a surprisingly good Cappuccino and a Tia Maria floater coffee not on the menu but cheerfully provided and went down very well .
Not fine dining but an enjoyable meal in s really lovely setting.
