Laurels Veterinary Centre
We are a veterinary practice located near the centre of Bromley. We have many clients from Bromley, Chislehurst, Keston, Chelsfield and Orpington. What distinguishes us from most other practices is that we have longer consultations, and we use this extra time to rigorously assess your pet and thoroughly discuss the tests and treatment options with you.

Because of this relationship, we know our clients well, and over the years, come to think of them as friends. We have many clients who have been coming to us for over forty years. We have opening times that are very flexible. We are open till 8pm on Mondays to Thursday. We are also easy to get to, with parking at the front of the building.
Services
We have several parking spaces at the front of the practice that you are welcome to use. If these are all occupied, there are often spaces available on the street adjacent to the practice. Please note, street parking is prohibited between 12pm and 2pm Monday to Saturday, unless you have a valid LBB parking permit.
I grew up on a farm in rural south-west Scotland. After graduating from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1983, I envisaged myself being a country vet with a Landrover and a dog. However, an odd turn of fate saw an old acquaintance offer me a job in London. Not my ideal location but we have to start somewhere!
We have an unusually strong and experienced veterinary nursing team for a practice of our size. Nurses are vital to the running of a veterinary practice. They monitor anaesthesia, place intravenous catheters, take blood samples and manage theatre and sterilisation. Furthermore, they take observations, give medications and care for our sick in-patients.
I have been working at the Laurels for over twenty years! When I started I was a nurse and I lived above the surgery together with Anne and some of the vets. We shared the emergency work duties back then. My duties include working at reception, having close contact with our clients and patients, as well as various administrative duties including sorting out vaccination booster reminders.

Have been using the wonderful Laurels for about six years now. Superb really genuinely caring vets who put pets before profits. All the staff....vets, nursing staff and receptionists are very warm, friendly, compassionate and supportive. I am so worried things might change now they have become part of the Medivet chain. I am devastated that my cats have recently lost their very special vet ( not due to Medivets) but hope all the lovely remaining ones will stay🙂

Critical: Professionalism
The vets are lovely and professional. Sadly, the receptionist team are extremely rude and unprofessional and bring the practice down. They do not listen to client feedback, in fact they disregard it

I breed Pedigree British Shorthair kittens, I’m GCCF registered and take pride in my cats and kittens. I have never dealt with such rude receptionists in my life. The vets themselves are kind but the old women that work on the front desk are horrific. My clients that have tried to call them have had the same experience as I have with them. Bromley common vets are cheaper and lovely people.

Since my dog is determined to get himself sick at every opportunity it's important to have a good vet. The Laurel's has been amazing, always willing to answer questions, no matter how trivial. Their care has been excellent. Can't recommend enough

A lovely vets. Very helpful on the phone and in person. They checked over our little rabbit. I would highly recommend.

We are so glad we chose The Laurels this time round for our adopted dog Charlie, they have so much time for both you and your pet, consultation is never rushed like previous "conveyor belt" vets we have used in the past. They still manage to deliver exceptional service during Covid 19. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff.
