Anderson Veterinary Surgery
A dedicated team of receptionists, nurses and animal care assistants help the practice perform efficiently, and give that extra care and attention to our patients. Please feel free to ask them for assistance in any matter and they will be happy to advise you or refer you to one of the vets if necessary.

Charlotte has been with us at Anderson's Vets Bromley North since 2013. She enjoys nursing all of our small furry patients, especially those who need a little extra TLC. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog Cody, and spending time with her partner and kids. In addition to Cody, she also has a cat, Apricot, two rabbits and 5 guinea pigs, who keep her very busy.
Services
Both our vets are registered as Official Veterinarians with the AHVLA and are able to issue and sign passports and sign export documentation. We have a state of the art digital X ray processor, allowing us to take high quality X rays. We also utilise commercial veterinary laboratories for more complex or specialist testing.
Katie has been with Anderson's for over 7 years. She graduated from The University of Cambridge in 2008 and then spent several months living and working in Rajasthan, India before joining the team. Katie is now the senior Veterinary Surgeon at the practice. She enjoys all aspects of her job but is most often found in the consulting room where she enjoys talking to clients and cuddling their pets!
We require 24 hours notice for the supply of either a written prescription or a supply of your pet's medication. You may obtain relevant veterinary medicinal products from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy. Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe relevant veterinary medicinal products only following a clinical assessment of an animal under his or her care.
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area and consultation rooms. If you are concerned that your dog may be suffering from an infectious condition, such as kennel cough, please remain in the car and alert our reception staff to your arrival.
Our Premier Pet Care Plan offers you an easy way to take care of the essentials to keep your cat and dog healthy, whilst saving you money. Your pets vaccinations, regular health checks, flea, worm and lungworm preventatives, are all planned in throughout the year and managed with low monthly payments.

Trusted vet, I talk my dog and cat here. Downside this location is not 24hrs, but they do have another location in Orpington which is. Reasonable prices. Bit annoying with covid still going on not able to go in with your pet for regular appointments.

WARNING TO ANIMAL LOVERS!
They don't let you be with your pets during the visit!
I booked in my cats for a checkup and vaccinations. We were left outside in the winter cold for 30 minutes after our appointment time until the vet finally came outside to see us. We were then told they don't have vaccinations available at the moment which was the main reason we had booked.
She then picked up one of the carriers and went to take one cat inside without me present for the checkup. I asked if I could be present however I was told no. Needless to say I took my cat back off her and left! What a waste

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
Kate Mercer was very rude. I removed my pet from this practice due to this. No need to be patronising. You will be passed from person to person all day before you get a reply on any results you paid an arm and a leg for. When finally did get a call back it was a stroppy "what do you want?" wont use them again.

I find that the care is good if you get lucky, the practice is incredibly inconsistent.
-If you phone you will put on hold and sometimes hung up on, be prepared to call back!
-It's 50/50 whether you will speak to someone who is polite and displays basic customer service
-Items are out of stock or the wrong doses are given. (I've been told to call back in January for my kitten's vaccination and on a previous occasion I wasn't given all the tablets I had paid for).
To use these services you must be incredibly patient and have an open diary 5 days a week. It is clear that they have too many patients

First vet we have been to where I feel my dog is finally getting the best treatment and vets who know how to handle nervous dogs. Have seen both Kate and Natalie and have been great. :).

Fantastic practise. Attentive professional staff who clearly work very hard for their patients. Saved our old dog from the brink several times. Could not recommend enough and have no complaints.

Wonderful kind and caring practice. Very grateful for the way they looked after our elderly dog (and indeed us) in his final few days as it made difficult things that bit more manageable.

The best vet anywhere. Even with social pet distancing in the carpark, getting prescriptions through the window, they're making it work. They go the extra mile, clearly love animals (can't say the same of every vet in Bromley), and make sure you understand what's happening and what you need to do. We'll never go anywhere else now.

This was my first experience with a vet and initially I was very pleased, however that changed very quickly. I went to this vet knowing they were not specialists in exotics. However they were willing to help- I was over the moon. The vet was nice and all seemed well. My budgie was sent home with an anti-inflammatory (supposedly for a week). During our drive home my budgie looked incredibly stressed and agitated. I inspected her as soon as I got home and noticed the vet had clipped her nails way too short up to her veins (seen on the image attached), leading them to bleed. I was incredibly saddened
