The Nursery School aims to provide a happy, stimulating and engaging environment for all pupils. Applicants must provide an original birth certificate in order to verify the age of a child. Prospective parents are very welcome and encouraged to visit the school at their convenience. At St. Kieran's Nursery School we view every child as an individual and place the needs of each child at the centre of all that we do.

We place great value on the input and support of parents and hope that by working together we can make every child's first experience of school a happy and memorable one in what is the one of the most formative stages of life.
Services
It opened in 1986 and provides full time pre school education for fifty two children per year. The school has a highly qualified and committed staff who work together to address the need of every child. Staff support and encourage children in their efforts and focus on the development of children's self esteem and positive attitudes towards learning.
School uniform is a pair of black tracksuit bottoms with a white polo shirt and school sweatshirt. This can be purchased from Truly Fare. Please put sensible footwear on your child (lace free if possible). Please label all items of clothing carefully Children should not wear jewellery to school as this can present a safety risk.
The school operates a morning club each day from 8:30 - 9:00am to facilitate an early drop off for parents who require this service. The school operates an after school club which each child can avail of as needed. A range of indoor and outdoor activities are provided and all children receive a healthy snack.
The Nursery School aims to provide a happy, stimulating and engaging environment for all pupils. We strive to ensure that each child experiences a broad, balanced curriculum based on the established principles which underpin nursery education. The school firmly advocates that at this stage of education the child learns to make sense of the world most effectively through play and through opportunities to explore, investigate and experiment.
Applicants must provide an original birth certificate in order to verify the age of a child. The Board of Governors reserve the right to require such supplementary evidence as it may determine to support of verify information on any application form.

The provision of false or incorrect information of the failure to provide information within the deadline set by the preschools can result in the withdrawal of a place and the inability to offer a place on the part of any school nominated on the applicant's application form.
