There is a lot to be said for sitting on the patio with a cold drink and just watching life pass by. For a relaxing game of crazy golf, complete with sea views, you only have to walk 300 yards down the road. Great for the budding Tiger Woods among you. Lorraine Lunn and family, the resident proprietors, pride themselves in offering you a very warm welcome and a comfortable stay, which you will want to repeat time and time again.

Lynton House Hotel enjoys an enviable position on Teignmouth seafront. It is situated in a quiet, level position opposite the new children's play-park and is only yards from the sands of the main beach, the picturesque river beach and the main shopping centre.
Services
The seafront, as seen from Lynton House, has a beautifully kept promenade, which is flat and wide, making 'a stroll along the prom' a real pleasure. The new children's state-of-the-art play area, adventure golf course and the grand Victorian Pier are all very popular with young and old alike. The Den, a large, grassed area, opposite the Pier is ideal for a leisurely game of cricket or a picnic.
The guest accommodation has twelve en-suite guest bedrooms, most of which have beautiful sea or river views. Comfortable beds, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities combine to ensure that you feel at home. There is a stair lift to the first floor for guests with mobility problems. We have twelve en-suite rooms which all have flat-screen, remote control, digital televisions and beverage trays.
Our spacious Dining Room, situated on the ground floor and having separate tables, offers a peaceful atmosphere in which to enjoy our tasty home-cooked hearty breakfast. Please note that breakfast is available from 8.30 am to 9.00 am. If this is not convenient to your plans, please refer to our 'Room Only' tariff.
As with all holidays, the main intention is to get a break from the traditional day to day routine that is maintained for the majority of time for most people. At Lynton House we are well placed for our guests to visit many different attractions in the area. Being positioned in the South West with a climate temperate enough for palm trees to grow there are plenty of local attractions to keep most people entertained.
Nowhere is very far in Teignmouth! The railway station is about 10 minutes walk away (depending how fast you walk) but if you are arriving with luggage by train, we recommend that you take a taxi. A taxi ride will take less than 5 minutes. Yes, we do. We only have a residents' licence so if you bring friends in for a drink, I'm afraid you will have to pay for their drinks!

Excellent place, this was my second stay here, Lorraine and her team do a great job. Yes the decor is a bit dated, but rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. Great value for money as well.

The location is great. Right on the sea front. The room which I got was sea facing with a large window. Early morning or late evening view was excellent.
The room is good sized.
The toilet is a bit on the smaller side. There is no onsite parking. You have to pay for parking on the street out side or park in a large council car park about 20 metres from the hotel. Parking charges apply from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Great location, nice couple managing it and made you welcome and made sure you had everything on arrival. Breakfast was OK, staff was average at breakfast but helpful. The rooms were not great, old and tired the decor was dated, Bathroom was small and fixtures were tired. the bathroom has some work done but there was no pride put into the finishing touches, no where to put anything as it was so small. The toilet was about three different colours, Beds had seen its days infect the double bed gave me a back ache as it was the old school with a steel sprung base with a mattress from long ago so bad
