Services
Lana de Savary has spared no expense in restoring this historic and well-known seaside inn. The ethos of all the de Savary Properties is to create a warm and friendly experience with great service and delicious food. With the family stamp of excellence, Cary Arms will leave you with unforgettable memories of a time well spent.
Tucked away in the most romantic and unspoilt corner of South Devon in Babbacombe Bay, Cary Arms combines traditional seaside charm with cool contemporary beach side living. With 10 elegant sea-facing rooms and suites at the inn, 4 restored fisherman's cottages and 8 brilliantly quirky deluxe beach huts & beach suites, Cary Arms is the perfect place to unwind and relax.
With 2 traditional 19th century cottage suites and 8 sea facing, en-suite bedrooms, international designer Kathleen Fraser has captured effortless seaside living. Fresh, clean coastal character abounds, with echoes of New England. Guests can relax with huge, comfy beds, crisp linens, fluffy towels and cosy waffle bathrobes.
The luxurious new accommodation is unique. The simplistic design of the Beach Hut exterior is reminiscent of traditional seaside charm and combined with the contemporary duplex interior and luxurious hand-crafted furnishings, cultivates a union between form, function and views. Huge wall-to-wall glass doors fold back onto the sunbathing deck, drawing light even on the dullest of days.
We welcome dogs here and have two dog-friendly rooms on the ground floor: 'Rear Admiral' and 'Commander', both with their own sea-facing balconies. Four-legged friends also love our two Suites adjacent to the Inn: Shell (one bedroom) and Pebble (two bedrooms), and our two brand new Beach Huts and a Beach Suite.

Loved the sloe gin and bottle of wine on arrival. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was superb. We stayed in Beach Hut 5 which was amazing but I would say overpriced. Big shout out to Chantelle and Becky in the spa. Chantelle literally couldn't have been more helpful in choosing correct treatments for me and everyone in the spa made us feel relaxed and pampered. Will definitely come again. Bridget and Paul

Surprise stay from my wife and totally fab.. We stayed in a beach hut. Hut! The name hut is so far removed from the wonderful accommodation looking over the bay. And whether breakfast or dinner the food coming out of the kitchen is fabulous. We absolutely will be going back!! 5* all the way. (And apologies for running off with the keys - obviously didn't want to leave!)

Sunday lunch recently was very strange. Greeter was unsmiling and had no record of our booking. Drinks were sent to a room not to us. There were lots of empty tables but the greeter said no when we asked if we could move to a table with chairs and a brolly. Well that told us! Food was OK, view amazing and luckily the weather stayed fine. We were overcharged by the same lady but other staff rang to us know later. So a bit mixed really.

Amazing hotel with absolutely stunning views. What makes this hotel even more special is the staff - they go above and beyond all day long - never once did I encounter a member of staff that wasn’t happy in… their job. We stayed in a beach hut - what a treat! It had every home Comfort you Could ask for and so much more. We had the best sea view with deckchairs looking out to the bay. Sonos stereo beautiful state of the art crackling fire - I could go on and on. Oh did I mention the food and the spa - amazing! This is one hotel that knows how to look after their guests. Thank you for

Lovely food, really poor service. Dirty plates left on the table for 40 minutes, by which time we'd had enough and paid at the bar to leave. We were surprised to see 6 staff members all chatting at the bar. A real shame as the food is good.
*** this pub is at the bottom of an extremely steep drive. I would suggest parking the car at the top of the drive ****

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We had a luxury room overlooking the bay. Not cheap but worth it. Breakfast was served on the terrace or in the restaurant at your table with a large choice suiting all tastes, from full English to more healthy options and was rather good. We did not use the spa but enjoyed the large sun terrace, surrounded by plants and flowers, for idling the day away. A very short walk to the jetty or the beach for a swim. The staff were all very cheerful and helpful and the room was very clean. I would like to return one day. To be recommended.

My partner and I went to the Cary Arms for our anniversary, and to say the trip was exceptional is an understatement. We stayed for two nights in a beach hut, which was stunning- it was beautifully decorated, had stunning views and facilities, and had complimentary snacks and a bottle of wine. It also had a private decking space with loungers to enjoy the gorgeous sea views. The food in the restaurant is just fantastic- so much choice and all delicious- both breakfast and dinner. They put a lot of effort into making interesting and original dishes, and it's definitely worth it. We spent a rainy
