A well run hotel. All staff attentative and well presented. Room's vary in price and quality. All rooms are clean and beds we found conformable they do however need modernisation old pine furniture that is well worn and outdated. The food quality and choice are outstanding and the presentation is excellent. All areas are covid safe. We did not use the spa area so could not comment. Bar prices are what you expect from a quality presented Hotel. This is our second visit, balancing it all up not bad value for the money you pay.

As a non resident I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to The Headland Hotel. I had an amazing massage by Stella who then organised for me to use the hydro pool facilities for a little extra. Wow these are fantastic! So relaxing. What a lovely way to spend New Year's Eve. I shall definitely be returning for their Spa Day package with some girlfriends.

I was away for work when I booked this hotel. I had booked it the night before and was all set to stay. Unfortunately I was informed of a family member being taken into hospital and had to cancel the booking. I explained the situation to the woman on the phone and was hoping I could re arrange the booking for another time, however this wasn't an option. "It still needs to be paid!" she barked. Unsympathetic and uncaring. I appreciate fully it was me who was cancelling the booking but all they were interested in was getting paid. I won't bother booking here again and I recommend others give this

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights while I was visiting a colleague in Newton Abbot.
Firstly, the hotel was somewhat awkward to find, iPhone maps takes you to the bottom of the road if you use that as many do. I did tell them this and they said they knew about it.
Staff were polite enough, but the room itself was a bit dated looking, and had numerous issues with the keycard - had to ask three times for the issue to be sorted, but they just re-programmed it and it still didn't work properly, took several attempts, one of which was at nearly midnight when no-one was on reception so I
