Worcester Golf & Country Club
Boughton Park is the setting for Worcester Golf & Country Club and the surrounding landscape provides an area of scenic beauty with wonderful views of the nearby Malvern Hills. The golf course was designed in 1927 by Dr Alister Mackenzie, who went on to design The Augusta National course in Georgia USA, and several other prestigious courses worldwide.

These include Alwoodley and Moortown Golf Clubs near Leeds and the West Course at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia. The parkland course, which is only a few minutes from Worcester City Centre, measures 6251 yards and features long narrow greens which provide a good test of accuracy for golfers of all standards.
Services
The golf course at Worcester Golf & Country Club was designed in 1927 by arguably the greatest golf course designer the world has ever known, Dr Alister MacKenzie; his nickname simply 'The Course Doctor.' Born in Yorkshire of Scottish parents in 1870, he went on to be a medical student at Leeds University, but he soon realised that his vocation in life was golf course design.
Visitors are welcome at Worcester Golf & Country Club and can look forward to an excellent round, followed by some of our renowned catering. Please contact the Pro-shop on 01905 422555 for course availability and to book your game. Members Guests are allowed to play up to a maximum of four times in any one calendar year.
Worcester Golf & Country Club aims to operate a contemporary and forward-thinking dress policy which is appropriate for a modern day members' club, thus enabling members, their families and guests to be able to play golf and enjoy their time in the Clubhouse, to feel comfortable and welcome, whilst at the same time respecting the standards expected in a private members golf club.
The Junior Team Golf Regional Final was held at Worcester Golf & Country Club & our appreciation must go out to Worcester Golf & Country Club, Andy, the chef, and the F&B team, plus the guys in the Pro Shop, were all excellent hosts. The course was tough but fair and the day achieved one of JTG's major objectives of providing a pleasurably memorable experience for all the players.
Boughton Park Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1929. It now has 4 all-weather, floodlit courts, and 3 superb grass courts, which are maintained by the Golf Club Greenkeepers, and are regarded as some of the best grass courts in the County. During the year, there are a number of mixed social tournaments, and a summer Club Tournament, usually run on a knockout basis.

Real shame I love playing golf and I am currently at studying at the University of Worcester, just another golf course that doesn't offer any student deals which means student's like me can't afford to play the game because we don't have a spare 30-40 quid plus. People really need to do more to make golf more accessible to younger people instead of making extortionate prices and judging younger people when they are playing your courses.

Here for a golf society event with some old friends a number of whom are members. We received a very nice welcome, excellent breakfast rolls. The course was in great late summer condition and late lunch after the game was hearty and very tasty - perfect for the occasion. if only the golf had been of the same standard.
