Braunstone Frith Primary School is on the western edge of Leicester City. We have approachable, committed and professional staff, dedicated governors, supportive and caring parents and fantastic children. It is a happy and fun place to learn. At Braunstone Frith Primary, our children are at the heart of everything we do.
Governors are a voluntary group that meets 6 times a year and is made up of parents, staff and the wider community. Their job is to ensure that all children are safe, secure & happy and get the best education they can. Different Governing Bodies operate in different ways, but governors will be expected to do far more than merely attend meetings.
Braunstone Frith Primary School is proud to be closely associated with SCITT, an outstanding provider of teacher training. SCITT is based nearby at Dovelands Primary School and Braunstone Frith Primary School regularly receives trainee teachers for Autumn, Spring and Summer placements. Please visit their website if you would like to know more about training to be a teacher.
This year, we have revamped the reward and behaviour systems in school. This is following our Ofsted inspection in February which identified the need for an improvement in childrens' learning behaviours and general classroom behaviour. Children will be taught to have quality learning behaviours through the acronym 'REACH IT'.
No Outsiders is an exciting new part of the curriculum that we will be introducing across the whole school. By being a No Outsiders school, this means that we celebrate diversity and are committed to the principles of inclusion and equality. It is a primary aim of our school that every member of the school community feels valued and respected.
