Woolden Hill Primary School is a one-form entry primary school (a maximum of 30 pupils per class) and has one class per year group. We are proud of our vibrant classrooms, break-out spaces and extensive grounds. At Woolden Hill, we believe that all pupils have the ability to achieve wonderful things.
The school's catchment area is centred on the village of Anstey. However, we welcome admissions from pupils from the other surrounding villages of Newtown Linford, Croptson and Thurcaston. Families are often attracted by our size, our Good rating from Ofsted and our green space. We are proud of our tradition of warmly welcoming pupils from outside the village.
In Leicestershire primary and infant schools offer a school place for a child of four years of age from the autumn term following their fourth birthday. However, statutory school age is from the first term after your child's fifth birthday. A child turning 5 in the Autumn term must start school no later than from the start of the Spring term.
At Woolden Hill Primary School, we are committed to equal opportunities for all of our pupils. We strive to remove barriers to learning to ensure that all children can reach their full potential, whatever their special educational need (SEN) or disability. The majority of pupils with SEND in our school are provided for within the class by slight adjustments to work, resources or teaching methods.

My daughter started here September 2017, she’s settled in really well, the staff are lovely, really friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for their child. The school’s headteacher is always outside to chat with parents in the mornings and to welcome the children, she has taken the time to get to know all the children by name. The school’s pta put on many exciting events to help raise money for the children.
