Waxham House
We provide care for long and short stay service users, both privately and state funded and for those that require palliative care. Our highly experienced management team and our skilled staff provide 24 hour care on a friendly and informal basis. If you would like to visit us in Ryde, meet residents and staff and have coffee and a look around, we would love to see you.

Our kitchen is well equipped and is maintained to the highest standard of hygiene and efficiency and we were awarded 5 stars for Food and Hygiene by the Isle of Wight Council. We have a lot of activities going on for those who want to participate but we also protect the peace and quiet of those who do not.
Services
Waxham House is an attractive detached Victorian building that has been extended to provide 18 single bedrooms and 1 double bedroom. Waxham House is registered with the Care Quality Commission and the Isle of Wight Social Services Department to provide the regulated activity accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care for up to 20 people.
Our aim is to create a warm and homely environment in which each resident will retain their individuality, independence and dignity as well as providing personalised care and attention to those who wish to spend their retirement in a secure and caring environment. We will protect your human rights no matter how frail, physically disabled, or financially, socially or psychologically vulnerable, you are.
At Waxham House we offer care to suit individual needs. Long term care for those who need daily care perhaps due to age or an on-going medical condition. Respite care to enable carers to take a much deserved break convalescent or post-operative care for those recovering from accident, illness or operation.
Under the direction and supervision of a highly experienced and skilled management team, our staff provide 24 hour care on a friendly and informal basis. All our staff are dedicated and committed to providing a safe, secure environment for our residents. They are highly trained in caring for our resident group and over 80% of our staffs have achieved an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in care.
Food is an important part of day to day life and we take pleasure in providing a wide variety of healthy and nutritious home cooked meals. There is a wide choice of delicious and wholesome dishes on offer. All our meals are prepared daily using fresh produce most of which are source locally by our main cook, Paula Richards.
