The staff are friendly and helpful. It has great potential to be an amazing hotel and leisure facility if only it had some investment put into it.

Please do not consider working here as an intern. They are treated horribly. The only thing that got me through was some of the staff who were incredibly nice. I didn't get paid, which was fine as I was promised a room and three meals a day from the restaurant. I had to move rooms like every so often and by the time I was allowed to eat, there were only leftovers, which were usually flavorless fries. THAT'S your meal two (if you're lucky, three) times a day, every day, for about five months. I lost 10kg when I returned home. I was working on an empty stomach almost every day, then they had the

There were some high points eg .. fabulously helpful Spa and pool staff, some friendly and smiley bar staff. .. However, I am obviously disabled ( I couldn't stand long enough to check in). We were allocated a room at the furthest point away from reception, bar and dining room. I couldn't use my wheelchair or scooter as there are 3 steps down to reach the lift. One of our 2 night stay was a present from some friends but we purchased a second to make a more special event. On the second evening, dressed to the "nines' we went to the bar for cocktails prior to a celebrity supper. However when we went

Just came back from a one night stay with a girlfriend for a relaxing weekend with no husbands or children. Front desk lady very friendly & helpful. We only booked the night before. As other hotel cancelled.… So was all very last minute. We booked afternoon tea. Served by a friendly guy. Food looked great & tasted delicious. Then booked relaxing massages. Both ladies experienced, felt amazing during & after. Nice sauna & steam room. Then pool time. Sweet small pool. Hot tub relaxing. (Maybe good have been hotter?) Didn’t use the gym, looked clean & tidy through

We stayed 2 nights in hotel. Beautiful sweet for my children and me. Plenty of toiletries and towels. Very clean. Quite room, no noise from the outside.
Children and I enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna.Very well heated.
Breakfast was a delight. A little minus that I couldn't get any other coffee such a espresso: only americano coffee was available. Also my children wanted a hot chocolate and it also wasn't available.
Nice dinner, attentive staff. A special thank for Gabriela for the amazing service and attention! We certainly will be back if in Oxfordshire.

Nice hotel in a good location. The room was warm and comfortable. The food was fairly nice. Value for money. The staff are friendly. Only complaint the head board in room 44 is loose on the wall and makes a noise every time you turn over. There is only a 15min walk in to town and a lovely walk around the lake behind the hotel.

Where do I start? I booked on , half board and was told a Deluxe room included a tray with Wine, a newspaper, snacks, water and chocolate When I asked where it was when I got to my room, I was told the GM took all that out of rooms! Eventually two people appeared with two mini bottles of red wine, 2 pkts of Salt & Vin crisps, 2 dirty… wine glasses and 2 Kit Kat’s 🥴 1st night in the restaurant 1st course 3 pieces of tired looking Sm salmon a few capers some creme fraiche and two quite stale pieces of brioche! Main was quite tough pork steak, nice mash potatoes and over cooked

Our friends and us enjoyed a 2 night stay here. The beds are so comfortable and our room was very spacious. The restaurant was a bit chaotic especially at breakfast but it didn't detract from a nice stay.

The place looks a bit shabby here and there internally, but in view of the problems they have experienced during the covid it's to be expected. On the plus side, the staff are very welcoming and professional. The menu on the DB&B deal is a bit restricted and does not vary daily (at least when we were there). Beds comfy, clean, and our room was very big by comparison with others. All in all, very good value and we will be back again.

Nice hotel with nice spa facilities. The front reception team were very friendly and welcoming. We had the superior room, decent size but the room was never cleaned during our stay, apparently due to COVID restrictions, however the spa and breakfast had no limit. No change of towels or even toilet rolls. The dustbins were not even emptied. Overall 7/10 stay

We got married here at the weekend and can honestly say that our experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff were absolutely fantastic especially Michelle the wedding and events coordinator. We could not… have asked for anything more. We cannot thank all the staff enough for making our day so so special ❤️ The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The food in the bistro was fantastic. We would definitely recommend.

I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews, however my experience has been excellent.
They have obviously taken in board previous criticism.
I took advantage of a Secret Escapes deal.
I had a deluxe room although small it has obviously been newly decorated and new shower room fitted to a good standard, hotel and dining room appeared clean and tidy.
I had a two course meal included.
But I opted for the main menu and paid a couple of pound extra.
The food in the restaurant was excellent quality and good value ( limited Vegan option) worthy of a top restaurant, plus great service from

AWFUL experience. False advertising of rooms. Arrived to to a standard room full of grime and what seemed to be rubber bedsheets! Changed room to a box tiny room. I’m only 5ft and I felt like the BFG in there!… The restaurant was bloody disgusting. My food came out and I wondered where the rest of my meal was. I ordered a mushroom Wellington and it looks like a small pie lid. My boyfriend ordered a burger which looked like a rustler burger. We were never offered any more drinks, waited half hour to get the bill (the restaurant was empty, there was only one more table of two people

Staff seem nice and helpful. 👍 Rooms are very tired the radiator looks like it’s come straight out of one of the local antique shops. Paint cracking in many places within the room. The shower is a watering can thermostat doesn’t work properly had to run around for 10 minutes to get slightly wet. Not worth the money! Poor room. Picture on the wall was bigger than the old TV … expected better would not visit or recommend. That said it’s in a good location for cotswolds.
