Staff were brilliant, nice clean rooms too. Bar had a good selection of drinks and the breakfast choices were comprehensive too. Would certainly stay there again.

Stayed here 3 times before. Last 2 times disappointed. After driving for 4 hours to get there, there was no parking available, despite us having given advance notification. Some cars were parked in two spaces (some local event was on, I was told). Took pictures and showed the bad parking; if the badly parked cars just moved a bit, there would have been enough room, but the staff shrugged their shoulders and basically couldn't care less. Ended up parking on the street and having to pay. Because of that we chose to eat and have a drink out rather than in the hotel (they didn't deserve our money).

What I love about Cotswold Lodge is the super-friendly staff and the really great Banbury Rd location. The room had a lovely, comfortable bed and the breakfast was perfect. Nothing is too much troubles for the staff here, from the bar staff to check-in team. My only small gripe is the 4pm check in, it's probably Covid related but seemed a lot later than when I stayed here in 2019. As a result, I was stood in reception behind quite a number of checking - in people (including a mini bus party) and didn't hit my room until 4.50pm, by which time trying to get a taxi to arrive within 45 mins through

All of the staff were really welcoming, helpful and friendly. It was great to be able to park on-site for free. The vegetarian breakfast was delicious and waiting staff very attentive. Only reason it's not a five-star review is that in the evening I could the guest in the room above me talking on the phone quite clearly and also I could hear their footsteps quite loudly in the night. Not ideal, but easily solved with ear plugs or turning the TV up!

Great location near Oxford parks and central. The staff is very friendly and the bed is comfy. Only downside is that you can't open any windows in the room, so it was a bit too hot inside.

Room was hot and stuffy. Bed was comfortable but I don't think it's value for money. I felt it costs a lot for what you get. Room decor really needs updating.
Would I stay here again? Sorry, but no.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff would definitely recommend. The food was amazing. Ideal location for visiting Oxford just a short walk into the centre with some good pubs and restaurants nearby. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Loved this place! My mother and I stopped here for four nights so we could properly see Oxford, and the location was fantastic. The bus line dropped us off a few minutes away in the center of the City. We had booked two rooms though there was a bit of confusion since the second room was booked last minute. They gave us the Trinity and Balliol rooms. We visited near the end of May so there were a few muggy days, and they don't have AC, but the fans provided were sufficient.

The Trinity room was quiet and very comfortable with a King bed and high ceilings. The bathrooms were updated

The only two good things about this hotel are the location and the car park. We were down in Cheltenham during the Easter weekend this year and thought of spending a day in Oxford, with an overnight stay.

The staff seemed quite aloof with not a lot of interest in marking up local attractions on a map. They were more keen on trying to make us have dinner at their restaurant.

The room itself was located in the courtyard and we felt there was a distinct lack of privacy. The room layout was extremely cramped and didn't feel very luxurious. What made life even more miserable was the snoring
