Terrible service and attitude. The hotel refuses to engage with me. On 23rd November 2019, before anyone had mentioned Covid 19, I made a reservation to stay overnight between 21st and 22nd November 2020. This was a non-refundable advanced booking. In advance of the date I asked what the position would be if I chose to cancel the booking in view of Covid meaning that the event I had booked in the area had been cancelled. I was told the accounts team would get back to me, but they never did, so I phoned, and was told a manager would get back to me, but they did not either. When lockdown 2.0 was

Strange smell at reception. Room was good size and well situated. Noisy in the evening and poorly insulated in that regard. Wouldn't necessarily recommend but price was competitive so wouldn't be against staying again.
L'occitane Toiletries were a nice touch

Great location right in the city and within walking distance from the train station. Jamie's is (was?) right below. Big cons: very oddly shaped rooms and no elevator even though the lobby is on the second floor. Loud at night with bar and street noise from below. Bottled water and cookies each night was a nice touch.

Great location, amazing staff, neat and clean rooms, could NOT ask for more. Every single person I came in contact with was pleasant and eager to assist. There isn't anything that you may need that is not within walking distance. Oxford university, the train, bus, taxi stations supermarket, movie theater restaurants, you name it, you can walk to it! I will certainly book again!

The hotel is alright, the bathroom was a bit smelly, pipe smell. My room has a large window with no view, frosted glass, but good light. Anyways, if you are going to be in Oxford and in that hotel probably you will be out all day so is fine. The location is good, there are all sort of restaurants, groceries, shops and is very close to the train station, about 10 minutes easy walk.
They are very long stairs to get to reception and another set of stairs to go to your room, take it on consideration if you have heavy bags or knee problems. The receptionist was charming and very helpful. For one night

Requested a twin room but arrived to a double and told maid had gone home so no chance of change, provided with separate quilts at request and luckily not the end of the world as travelling with a friend. Bed however comfortable, Room good size and clean but very noisy overnight as on main stretch, unable to open windows so no fresh air although air con in room. No breakfast in house and stingy amount of coffee/milk provided although they probably provide more at request

Room is small and the maintenance could be improved. The hotel can be slightly noisy.
Not at all a 5 star hotel as many of you could expect. The rate is high for the service you will get as well the price, but UK is expensive in general.
I set 3 stars to this review because the staf is friendly and the location is good, close to the city center. You can find a lot of restaurants, shopping, and bars nearby.

Spent a night here. Perfect for the one night. No parking... However, Water Eaton Park and ride was brilliant, Just outside of the center. £12 for 24hr parking and £3.00 for 72hr return ticket on the bus. We arrived early and the staff were helpful, also leaving our bags with them until the room was ready. The modern twin single room was spacious and clean. We had breakfast in the café next door. Again good quality and lots to choose from. I would stay here again. Only the price was a little high for 1 night.

I waited a week to post this review to give the hotel a chance to address the situation properly. Instead I had countless back and forths with the owner and was left dumbfounded by their lack of comprehension and customer service.
Key points:
1. The sheets on the bed were soiled (they said they were coffee stains but who knows?!) and they were not changed when I brought it to their attention. The receptionist did it late the second night when I brought it to their attention AGAIN! Seriously??!? Gross! When I got in touch with the owner he apologized, defended how they handled it, and after days

Wow, right from the get-go the service here has been perfect.

Need to be in the heart of Oxford for a wedding, and where to stay...and then I see a listing for this place, check out the website and book in.
Tell a friend about the place and he books it as well.
Then I get an email from the hotel asking about beds and twins it is and wow, this is just the beginning.
Service, great location, and a very good price. What's not to like?
Enjoy!
