Waterless printing is an offset lithographic printing process that eliminates the water or dampening system used in conventional printing. Waterless presses use a special silicone rubber coated printing plate, special ink, and typically a means of temperature control on press.
The specialist plates allow the printed dot to be held more securely preventing any unwanted movement of ink and minimising dot gain to create a sharper image in ultra fine definition.By eliminating the flow of water, colour stays consistent throughout and the vibrant four-ink colour saturation is not compromised.

A stylish brochure with a fold out cover to suit a vintage range for the John Lewis Partnership. An uncoated stock was used to create a rustic, select feel with our waterless cmyk colour process delivering beautiful imagery throughout. On this project we worked closely with the client on the pre-press/studio input, in order to maximise the visual detail and colour of the product.
