I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor who has been working in private practice and GP surgeries in the Hemel Hempstead area for over 20 years. I offer counselling to individuals and couples, as well as providing life coaching. I'm also a qualified supervisor and provide clinical supervision for counsellors.

My counselling orientation is integrative, which means I have studied different counselling approaches and theories including Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have experience of working with a short number of sessions and also working more longer term to suit the client's individual needs.
Services
I offer a warm, open and confidential environment, with understanding and support, in order to help you make sense of your problems and to provide you with some tools or coping strategies, which will enable you to make changes in your life. Sometimes our relationships can go through difficult times, due to various factors, and it can be helpful to discuss your feelings alongside your partner, with an independent and professional counsellor.
I offer a warm, open and confidential environment, with understanding and support, in order to help you make sense of your problems and to provide you with some tools or coping strategies, which will enable you to make changes in your life. Individual sessions last for an hour and an initial assessment will be arranged in order for you to meet the counsellor and decide if you think counselling can work for you.
Sometimes our relationships can go through difficult times, due to various factors, and it can be helpful to discuss your feelings alongside your partner, with an independent and professional counsellor.

Couple counselling can provide a safe, neutral and balanced environment for you both to express sometimes difficult and painful thoughts and feelings to each other, and with the help and support of the counsellor to come to a better understanding as to how you want the relationship to improve. It can help you to resolve anger, hurt and conflict, exploring how to talk and listen to each other better.
Life coaching is more about your future direction, whereas the focus of counselling often involves resolving issues from your past. Life coaching therefore provides a safe space to explore feelings around uncertainty about your future, or you may just be battling with an underlying sense of not feeling fulfilled in life, but not quite knowing how to change this.
Individual clinical supervision can be provided and supervisees normally contract for fortnightly or monthly sessions. My orientation is integrative and I have a Diploma in Clinical Supervision and Consultancy and have been providing supervision to individuals and groups for over 15 years. I have worked in a wide range of settings including NHS Primary Care and Employee Assistance Programmes.
