Welcome, I understand that making the decision to start counselling is not easy; searching for a counsellor can be overwhelming and it can be difficult to choose. I hope the information on this website will be of help to you to see if you would like to work with me. Having been counselling for 20 years, I have significant experience of working with a wide variety of difficulties; including trauma, loss, and illness.
I can offer you a respectful, non-judgemental environment where you can share and feel listened to. I understand that it is not easy to face challenges and stressful emotions, so I can provide a warm, supportive space to help you explore your feelings and make sense of what you are going through with sensitivity and openness.

Services
In this session, I will ask you what brings you to counselling and what you are hoping for; I will assess your needs (to see if I can help you) and you will get a chance to meet me (to see if you feel comfortable working with me). At the end of this session, we can decide together whether counselling is appropriate, and if I am the right counsellor for you.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor for individuals and groups, and a UKCP Registered Supervisor. I offer relational, integrative supervision to qualified counsellors, trainee/student counsellors and health care professionals. All those involved in the caring professions are encouraged to have supervision as a mark of good practice.
Will counselling help me? Many people benefit from counselling; they find it useful to talk to a qualified professional, someone outside of their circumstances, to help them with perspective and understanding. Counselling is not always easy, and it takes commitment, but having someone to journey with you at a time of distress can be supportive.
