Little Drummers is a sessional pre-school situated in the Drummond Centre, in close proximity to Berrywood, Wellstead & Shamblehurst Primary Schools and to WIldern Secondary School. We offer care and education for children from 2 years. At Little Drummers we believe children learn best when they are having fun in a safe and secure environment, where they feel valued and loved.
We provide a range of activities to nurture every child's emotional, intellectual and physical wellbeing through exploration and experimentation with an environment that focuses on the importance of learning through play. It is our belief that we are not preparation for the next step but the foundation for your child's future learning, and therefore regard this stage in your child's development as vitally important.

Services
At Little Drummers the whole team is passionate about providing high quality learning experiences and opportunities for all the pre-school children. We have a friendly and experienced staff team, who believe that a close relationship with parents promotes learning and development for the children within our care.
We offer two drop off times of 9am or 9.30 and two pick up times of 12 noon or 12.30 on a Friday. Our team has a wealth of knowledge with regard to settling children into preschool life and would be happy to discuss sessions that would best meet the needs of your family. Little Drummers is registered to accept 2 year old funding as well as the 3&4 year old EYE grant.
Young children learn and develop quickly, and play is fundamental in this. Play helps to build self-worth and gives them a sense of their own abilities, which supports good self-esteem and well-being. At Little Drummers we believe learning should be fun, it needs to be about what children enjoy doing.
Little Drummers is managed by a management committee of parents. The committee is responsible for ensuring Little Drummers fulfils all its legal requirements through the implementation of policies. As a charity we also rely on the fundraising events organised by the committee to raise much needed funds for the pre-school, all money raised goes straight back into resources and equipment for your children.

After having to take my son out of his previous preschool, I was worried he'd struggle in a new one, but the ladies at little drummers are amazing with him, and he's never been more excited than when he goes to school, Jessica is wonderful and my son absolutely adores her, he struggles with speech but they've helped him come so far in such a short period of time, it's outstanding!

I am a nursery nurse and when looking for a pre school for my daughter I looked at about 10 settings and then I found little drummers. What can I say! My daughter has been going for 2 years and leaves this week for school. I’m heartbroken we have to leave these lovely ladies behind they have made my little girl into a confident child! Amazing group of ladies hands down the best around x

Little Drummers is a really friendly, fun and supportive preschool. It is the staff who absolutely make it so and frequently go above and beyond for the children. My son has so enjoyed his time here and I would warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a preschool in this area. The SEN key worker, Zoe, deserves particular special mention: she is so diligent, positive and reassuring. Zoe always makes the time to talk about next steps and offer practical advice as to how to support your child's development.

Little Drummers is such a wonderful preschool, the staff are so passionate and their care for the children really shines through! There was 5 years between my son leaving preschool and my daughter starting, the fact staff remembered both me and my son, makes you realise just how much they value your little ones, still caring about them after they… have left.
