In the heart of the former Devon Village of the year, Kings Nympton, sits The Old Rectory Cottages. Set between the thatched village pub and Saxon church, this is the perfect setting for six luxurious listed self-catering holiday cottages, furnished to provide you with a classic but modern stylish holiday accommodation.
On arrival, and after a personal welcome, you will feel yourself relax amidst the peace and calm of the five acre landscaped garden or enjoy the afternoon in our wonderfully warm swimming pool with sun terrace overlooking the patchwork of fields and rural views. Two duck ponds are home to our hand reared ornamental ducks who will feed from your hand with a little coaxing.

Services
Nestling midway between Exmoor & Dartmoor in beautiful rolling North Devon 'Tarka' countryside Kings Nympton has previously won the coveted CPRE Devon Village of the Year award. It is wonderfully remote and yet only 35 minutes drive to the M5 motorway and approximately 10 minutes from the market town of South Molton.
The Old Rectory Cottages are perfectly located to explore the numerous attraction North Devon has to offer - just a few are listed below. South Molton is the local market town 10 minutes drive from Kings Nympton. The town has a range of antique and curios shops as well as tea rooms, public houses and a market on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The swimming pool at the Old Rectory Cottages is open all year and heated to a very balmy 32 degrees. It is covered in, what we call, The Greenhouse! If the weather is inclement we keep the sides down and the internal room temperature up but on sunny, warm days we can lift the sides to give us an indoor/outdoor pool.
Exit the M5 motorway at junction 27 and proceed west along the A361 to Barnstaple. After approx. 25 miles take the B3227 left at the roundabout signposted South Molton and drive into the town centre. The former red brick Post Office building will be directly in front of you. Bear left beside the old Post office and head down South Street.

Just returned from a wonderful week staying at the Tythe Barn at the Old Rectory Cottages. Such a gem in the beautiful North Devon countryside, the accommodation is superb, and the grounds and facilities are great for families with a very warm pool for the kids and plenty to do on site. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. We have already booked to go back! Excellent for young families and I would highly recommend to anyone.
