Services
Our story starts with the gorgeous Georgian Oddfellows Hall in Chester. Once a society for the misfits in society, the creative professions and all those who didn't quite fit in a box. It inspired interiors that delight the senses and a feel for fun that never takes itself too seriously. Combine this with our serious side.
Our bedrooms are gorgeous - from the Park Rooms to Playground Suites, every detail has been considered. Although playfully decorated, comfort is considered at every turn. Beds are at least a 5ft king-size and showers are wonderfully powerful. Although the original features in these Victorian bedrooms take precedent, our luxurious bathrooms are distinctly modern.
With a 5ft king size bed for the deepest of slumbers, a small seating area and vanity unity, Nespresso coffee making machines and tea making facilities together with complimentary WiFi throughout. You will find flat screen TV's and Roberts Radios for your entertainment. The Park Rooms have stunning park views with bags of natural daylight.
Set in the third-floor eaves of this historic building with exposed beams adding charm and character. These suites are slightly smaller than the Kendal Suites but still offer lots of space, king-size beds together with a comfortable seating area.
Choose either a Victorian style roll top bathtub or a contemporary four poster bed for your stay (please request your preference of a bathtub or a four poster bed at the time of booking) and views to the park. You will find Nespresso coffee making machines and tea making facilities together with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout and flat screen TV's and Roberts Radios for your entertainment.

This suite offers more than a nod to the Hall's equestrian past as a stud farm - set in the Hall's tower over two luxurious levels comprising of sitting room, bedroom, dressing area and bathroom. A contemporary double bed together with a comfortable seating area and Victorian style bathroom with fabulous rainforest showers and views to the park.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. 3 courses for £25 each. The roast lamb Sunday dinner was one of the best we have ever eaten. The gravy was incredibly rich and the baby veg superb. All of us loved every course and two of us are booked in again in 2 weeks. The wine was also well received whilst my non real ale bitter was surprisingly good. The room is impressive. The outside terrace looks tempting for the summer months. ( Be aware the aeroplanes fly low. No issue inside but maybe on the terrace.)

We booked in for a getaway. We went to our room which was really cold. Went to the bar to get food and drink. There was a couple opposite us that had just sat down. They had a baby monitor on there table whist they had drinks and food for about 1hour -1hour and a half. Very upsetting to see. With what is going on recently with children seen on the news. Spoke with manager who quite frankly didn't care. Walked away from us when we raise the issue and said he didn't see a problem with it. Think he was more bothered about the money. They could of took there food and drinks upstairs. The manger was

We attended a wedding here at the weekend and the whole weekend was wonderful.
There was a bit of a mix up with our room booking but the staff were excellent at resolving the problem and we are very thankful for it. Right in the middle of Bruntwood Park, the setting is beautiful.
The weather was great and we had our own private part of the veranda for the wedding day. The staff working at the wedding were fabulous, I cannot fault them at all. The food was fantastic too!
There is limited parking out front of the hotel but there is a few pay and displays dotted about the park if needs be.

Just fantastic. Took my family for a lunch mid week.. colleagues just amazing service and the food was unbelievable.. I had a chicken ceaser salad, which came with anchovies on top.. wow it was really good.. extra milk extra tea when requested.. just top class.. prices were very reasonable for the quality of the place, the surroundings and of course the quality of the food. Really really good.

Staff are all friendly and very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble and they definitely want you to have a lovely time. Food is well presented, delicious and plentiful. Rooms are lovely however no lift so ground floor would be suitable for anyone with mobility restrictions.
Disliked · Limited parking to match hotel capacity. However from previous reviews this was made clear so when booking you are aware.

Went for Sunday lunch and absolutely amazing. Lovely choices on the menu not too much so you know it’s all made fresh. The presentation certainly matched the taste.
Roast beef dinner cooked to perfection and for me it’s pink but the option was there if you wanted it cooked a little more and served with all the trimmings with extra gravy!
Desserts were to die for and yes I was naughty with a sexy chocolate number that was gluten free too.
What a gem of a place, stunning listed building with beautiful decor in woodland surroundings and I would highly recommend it. ❤️

We stayed overnight at Oddfellows for our 3rd wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it. Everything about the hotel is stunning and has such a relaxed atmosphere. Despite there being a wedding on that day so the place was pretty busy, staff were so friendly and helpful. The cocktails were amazing and food at the Galloping Major was to die for!
… Shout out to barman, Darren in particular who was so enthusiastic, chatty and friendly. Another barman saw to us during our stay both in the Stud Bar and restaurant who was also lovely but we unfortunately didn't catch his name!
Would definitely
