Traquair Arms Hotel
A family run hotel & gastro pub in Innerleithen, nestled between the hills of the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders. Set in a 200 year old coach house, the Traquair Arms offers a warm welcome all year round. Enjoy a pint of local ale in our traditional Scottish bar, where fresh, locally sourced food is served throughout the day.

Finish the night with a comfortable night's sleep in one of our 15 hotel bedrooms or self catering cottages. Our hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the history and countryside of the Borders. The nearby Southern Upland Way offers stunning views for walkers and the River Tweed offers excellent fishing in the autumn season.
Services
Two comfortable family rooms (sleeping 4 and 3 people) that are ideal for families or small groups of friends. Like all our rooms, a delicious Scottish breakfast is included with your stay. We've got two self-catering cottages for families and groups wanting a little more freedom. Both have a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room and sleep a maximum of four people (combination of double/twin with a single bed / z-bed / sofa bed).
In the winter, you can sit by the cosy pub fire cradling a 15 year old single malt whisky. In summer, it's all about sipping a cold pint of beer or a refreshing gin and tonic in our award-winning beer garden. Our bar is a friendly and traditional Scottish pub, ideal for meeting friends after a day's fishing, biking or hiking, for a drink or bite to eat.
We welcome all kinds of events to the hotel and can offer a variety of private event spaces and exclusive use options. If you are looking for a small, relaxed, traditional venue for your wedding, we'd love to hear from you. We can also recommend some great local suppliers for wedding photography, wedding flowers and more.
If you need any convincing that the Tweed Valley and the Scottish Borders are an amazing place to visit, check out just some of what's on offer below. The Tweed Valley is the spiritual home of mountain biking in Scotland. Glentress Forest has a trail network of 80km, spanning green family loops to a long and technical black run.

Cosy pub with excellent food and a good selection of vegetarian and gluten free options. Bar staff were very friendly, polite and quick to serve the drinks.
I can highly recommend the dirty fries as a starter!

Review for food at the Traquair, no overnight stay involved.
I visited this place a few months back and we decided to eat and drink outside on a beautiful sunny day. They’ve done up the seating area at the back so there’s plenty of space now.
The food was absolutely beautiful. I had seabass with a red pepper sauce which was delicious. It was all table service at this point, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the visit and would recommend this place if you are in Innerleithen.

The food was great đź‘Ť with myself and wife being thoroughly satisfied with our meals. There was a reasonable choice of dishes at a sensible price. The cider was Aspalls which I adore. Service was fast and friendly. Great place.

9 of us spent a week here in two of the cottages and one hotel room. All rooms were excellent- the newly renovated spotless cottages had 2 good sized bedrooms (huge beds!!) plus sofa beds in the living area. Kitchen with oven, fridge, toaster and kettle (no microwave). Lovely big shower room and en-suite. Powerful shower. Only complaint was lack of bedside tables, wardrobes and shelves in the bathroom. The pub is brilliant- good beers, friendly staff and top notch food, we ate there 3 times all were very good. Excellent base for exploring the borders area and Edinburgh (we took the train from Gorebridge

We took a chance on this place since most of the locals weren't even sure it had re-opened. We were pleasantly surprised! Great specials, very hearty and healthy options. Nice pub atmosphere and very friendly bartender.
