Two comfortable family rooms (sleeping 4 and 3 people) that are ideal for families or small groups of friends. Like all our rooms, a delicious Scottish breakfast is included with your stay. We've got two self-catering cottages for families and groups wanting a little more freedom. Both have a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room and sleep a maximum of four people (combination of double/twin with a single bed / z-bed / sofa bed).
In the winter, you can sit by the cosy pub fire cradling a 15 year old single malt whisky. In summer, it's all about sipping a cold pint of beer or a refreshing gin and tonic in our award-winning beer garden. Our bar is a friendly and traditional Scottish pub, ideal for meeting friends after a day's fishing, biking or hiking, for a drink or bite to eat.
We welcome all kinds of events to the hotel and can offer a variety of private event spaces and exclusive use options. If you are looking for a small, relaxed, traditional venue for your wedding, we'd love to hear from you. We can also recommend some great local suppliers for wedding photography, wedding flowers and more.

Review for food at the Traquair, no overnight stay involved.
I visited this place a few months back and we decided to eat and drink outside on a beautiful sunny day. They’ve done up the seating area at the back so there’s plenty of space now.
The food was absolutely beautiful. I had seabass with a red pepper sauce which was delicious. It was all table service at this point, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the visit and would recommend this place if you are in Innerleithen.

9 of us spent a week here in two of the cottages and one hotel room. All rooms were excellent- the newly renovated spotless cottages had 2 good sized bedrooms (huge beds!!) plus sofa beds in the living area. Kitchen with oven, fridge, toaster and kettle (no microwave). Lovely big shower room and en-suite. Powerful shower. Only complaint was lack of bedside tables, wardrobes and shelves in the bathroom. The pub is brilliant- good beers, friendly staff and top notch food, we ate there 3 times all were very good. Excellent base for exploring the borders area and Edinburgh (we took the train from Gorebridge
