Both of my children have attended this nursery since they were 9 months old and I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for the staff who have taken care of my children for the last 8 years. Our beautiful daughter joined Cherish Day Nursery at eight months young.
Now our pre school daughter has matured into an intelligent, well behaved, cheeky little girl excelling way beyond her age in literacy and numeracy due to the ongoing care and attention given from the excellent staff at the nursery.We are already getting anxious for the last few months remaining. Cherish Day Nursery operates in a self-contained building, benefiting from exclusive use, located within a larger complex of a private, community building (www.thegrovecentre.org.uk). There are parking spaces available and right of use for the purposes of dropping children off and collecting them. The nursery operates over two stories, has two excellent outdoor spaces and is registered for 30 children from the age of 6 months to 5 years.
Our baby room provides a cosy environment designed to give comfort and encouragement for children aged between 6 months and 2 years. We work alongside parents and carers to ensure any home routine is followed, as closely as possible, to minimise any unnecessary distress.
Staff working with the youngest children focus on their self-awareness and self-confidence, early communication skills and early physical development (including strengthening of fine motor skills and gross motor skills).These provide the basis for successful learning in other areas. The babies enjoy many varied sensory and tactile experiences, making use of the sand and water tray and the messy play area.

Our toddler room provides a nurturing environment designed for children, aged between 2 years and 3 years, to further enhance their early experiences through collaboration and awareness of their wider surroundings. The balance in timetable will shift towards a more equal focus on all areas of learning as children grow in confidence and ability.
