Little Gems Day Nursery is located in a quiet residential location with local travel links available including Lewisham, New Cross and Brockley Railway stations. We are also are local to Goldsmiths University and Lewisham College. We have places available for the free entitlement for 3 & 4 years old for 15 hours per week.
We have 3 trips per year to farms, the zoo, the seaside, a range of museums, adventure parks etc. Parents/carers have the chance to get involved in their child's learning in our planned open mornings. Services
Our nursery is located on the boarders of Brockley and New Cross within the borough of Lewisham. We are also are local to Goldsmiths University and Lewisham College. Little Gems Day Nursery was first established in 1996 and was an 18 place setting catering for children aged 2-5 years.
In 2000 due to high demand for baby places we acquired another building which took us to a 50 place setting and in 2003 we continued to expand to a 93 place setting catering for children aged 3 months - 5 years.

Our most important aim at Little Gems is for every child to feel welcome, valued and listened to and that they feel a strong sense of belonging, both to their nursery and family life. We are extremely proud of the quality of care we can offer your child. We will support the children in becoming confident and independent learners and as a result our commitment to working closely with families runs through everything we do.
We consider learning to begin at birth and we promise to nurture a love of learning in your child that will stay with them long after they have moved on from Little Gems Day Nursery. We aim to maintain a calming and comfortable environment that will act as a child's home from home and help them to develop a strong sense of belonging within the nursery.
Little Gems is dedicated to making sure that your toddler has excitement and fun to help them enjoy their time with us. As learning becomes a natural part of their everyday life at Little Gems Day Nursery your toddler will be in a stimulating environment with 1 carer to every 4 toddlers.
We have created an imaginative approach to play and activities which is ideal for 2 to 3 year olds; helping them to explore, discover and master new skills for their age range.This approach reflects how your toddler begins to make sense of the world around them in amusing and exciting ways and helps to teach your toddler new language and communication skills.

By the age of 3 years children have developed good spoken language skills and use these to think about what they are doing as they play, whilst asking many questions about what they are doing or seeing. With this group we take a Reasoning Approach which helps our 3 to 5 year olds find out information and solutions to problems as they play in our family friendly facilities.

Little Gems is an amazing childcare provider. We put our daughter into nursery (baby room) in the midst of the second lockdown in 2020, when few other nurseries were taking on new babies. Since day one, Little Gems have gone above and beyond to provide the very best care to our daughter and to make us feel safe and secure. We are moving soon, and after visiting new nurseries it only reinforces to us how great Little Gems actually is! We've decided to keep our little one in Little Gems even if it means travelling further everyday because we cannot find another provider that is even half as good

We love this nursery. With our child born at the very start of the pandemic and not really interacting with many people other than mum and dad, we needed to find somewhere where staff really understood her needs. Little Gems is a very welcoming, positive place. Our daughter has thrived in her first 6/7 months, her speech and confidence is noticeably improved. The care at Little Gems feels genuine, all the staff we've met are lovely and our daughter has a strong bond with many of them.

My daughter attends Little Gems Day Nursery and she absolutely loves it. From the moment she started she settled in very well. She’s always really thrilled to go to nursery to the point that on her days off she try’s to put on her shoes and head out the door for nursery. She has a brilliant attachment with not just her amazing keyworker but all the other fantastic, hardworking members of the team. All the staff are wonderful, friendly, and easy to get along with, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable whilst maintaing professionalism.

My child started at little gems day nursery in the baby room and went all the way throug to the pre-school and I have had a really good experience at this nursery the staff are very friendly and welcoming to both me and my child witch made it easy for my child to settle in to the nursery the nursery is very well layed out and clean. My child developed well while at this nursery to prepare for school now my child has left the nursery and is going to primary school the nursery did a very nice and emotional graduation and it med me feel apart of the little gems family me and my child both miss our

This nursery is everything. My child goes to here and has honestly never been happier. The staff and children have made the both of us feel so welcome. They celebrate multiple cultures and religions which is amazing. Loving staff who take care of the children like they are their own. It is also bright and colourful, would 100% recommend the nursery.

My 2 children both went to this nursery from the age of 6 months. Staff were really friendly, helpful and very caring towards the children and my children had great bonds with their key workers and all staff. As a result my children had no trouble settling in. Thank you to all at little gems for providing my children with a great start in life. It was a very difficult choice choosing a full time nursery for my children but it was definitely the best choice!!! Couldn’t rate them enough!
