Eye examinations are carried out using a mixture of traditional methods such as the manual trial lenses system to obtain the highest level of accuracy. This is combined with state-of-the-art electronic equipment, which is used to measure eye pressure, visual fields and to capture detailed digital photographic images of the retina (the interior back wall of the eye).
We offer a vast selection of lenses, from basic to high tech, super thin, clear and light weight lenses. Multi anti-reflection coatings are available to provide 99.9% clarity through our lenses and the best cosmetic appearance. These are combined with the latest additional grease and water repellent lenses for ease of cleaning and scratch resistance for durability.
We fit a wide range of top quality contact lenses from all the major suppliers such as Johnson & Johnson, Cibavision and Bausch & Lomb, in addition to specialist suppliers for more complex lenses. This enables us to achieve a higher success rate than practices that restrict their lens choice to optimize profitability.

Had some bad experiences with larger multinational optician chains so gave DP a go with a family recommendation. Very pleased with the service, not at all pushy and care for you as a person rather than just someone with a wallet. Have continued to use for few years now and would definitely recommend DP to others.

I have been a loyal customer to David Pressman Optician since my daughter was around 3, she is now 39, so 1983. They are always so polite I cannot understand the negative review below. The lady who tests your eyes is very thorough, I always feel in safe hands. I never go anywhere else, but I have heard horror stories from friends who do go to the big chains, this opticians is simply the best.

Unspeakable service. I found other stores offering a much lower price for exactly the same product. The manager David is very arrogant showing no respect to other competitors. Without any modification, his original quote is "specsavers are rubbish like primark". He speaks well and makes himself sound like an expert.

I booked an eye test which seemed to go well. I then ordered a specific frame for their collection and was told it would arrive within three or four days. Initially, I wanted Zeiss lenses which I always have found to be exceptional, but David Pressman was very pushy and did everything he could to sway me towards Essilor instead, even though they are an official agent for Zeiss - I conceded. After one week and no follow-up, I wrote to David Pressman via their website regarding my order - No reply. I then called them and was told someone would

As a lifelong wearer of spectacles I am rather demanding of my eyewear. David Pressman is a very knowledgeable and patient man. I spent over an hour trying on different sunglasses for African sun and ended up with an amazing pair which suit me perfectly and have lasted through several trips and summers. I now buy all my eyewear here and recommend it to family and friends.
David is an independent, so rather than the big chains that want to process you and take your money he knows you and cares about your needs. He always calls me about a week after new glasses to be sure they still fit comfortably
