The White Hart is a family run free house establishment with real ales, including some special ales from our local breweries - these are really worth trying! The White Hart Hotel at Fore Street Holsworthy has been an indispensable part of the busy market town's social scene for as long as anyone can remember.
Dating back to at least 1591, it is a remarkable place, which just like Dr Who's famous 'Tardis', is seemingly very much bigger on the inside that its facade might suggest. Services
The White Hart has three bar areas. The main bar situated to the front of building, just off of the main street and is both traditional and welcoming. The bar splits into 2 parts and although not intentional almost creates a seperate lounge and public bar areas. A full range of spirits (35ml), wines, beers and soft drinks are available.
The main bar area is ideal for a quick lunch, we see many local business people on a regular basis - you are very welcome to pre-order! It's also a friendly atmosphere for a sociable evening meal. Our main emphasis is on locally purchased ingredients and home cooked food. Some of our more popular dishes are Homemade Steak and Kidney Pie, Home cooked ham and free range eggs and our very own Bubble and Squeak.
The White Hart Hotel have seven (7) letting rooms available and can be booked on a single, twin or double occupancy basis. We have a Bed & Breakfast (B&B) option with a Full English to start the day! Note: We do have a Music Bar on our premises, therefore music may be herd in some of our rooms until 1.00 am on busy weekends.

We have a fully stocked, professional bar which can be opened for virtually any function (minimum guest numbers may apply) at no cost. From catering to Function Bands, we can organise your whole function for you, to take away all the stress & hassles, leaving you to enjoy your party or function. The capacity of the Memorial hall is 250 seated or 350 standing, making this one of the biggest venues in the area.

Very nice food here, 4 of us ate here I had the white heart burger that was 2 huge thick homemade burgers ,bacon, cheese and an egg, lovely and very filling.
2 members of our group had lasagna, this was burnt and stuck to the side of the dish, a slight problem but the bar was very busy so this might account for the overdone Italian favourite.
Ham egg + bubble and squeak was ordered by our 4th member, this looked lovely and was thoroughly enjoyed
While we waited for food another table received there order of a sirloin that was served on a very hot stone still sizzling ! The smell was amazing

Unfortunately we got into a accident on the way to Cornwall from London. A lorry reversed into our car at the service station. We phoned the white hart hotel to inform them that we would be late checking in. They went above and beyond by waiting for us to arrive which was 5 hours late, friendly service and made sure we were ok. Couldn’t recommend them more. Comfortable bed and clean room and bathroom. Value for money and the staff were expectational!
