We had afternoon tea here. The scones were absolutely scrumptious, the rest of the food sublime. A gorgeous setting for this iconic building, full of history and intrigue. All this as well as friendly, attentive staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Had the 7 course taster meal here and I have to say there was a lot more food than I had anticipated. Food was interesting and quite enjoyable. Very English cuisine. The overall experience lasted 3.5 hour which was a little long however would not have wish for better service and also wouldn't have asked for the courses any closer together as it would have been to much to handle. Staff were very kind, helpful and pleasent. Lovely grounds and a very traditional old English Manor.

Absolutely fantastic 7 course tasting menu here! Portions were large and not what we were expecting, by the end of the meal we were most definitely full! The entire 7 courses are an absolute experience, with each course having a good amount of flavour and impeccable presentation. Food is freshly prepared and a lot of it is local, with a kitchen garden that supplies much of the meals! Service is also incredibly good, with attentive but discreet staff. If going for the tasting menu, it's worth setting aside at least 3 hours. The tasting menu also offers a paired wine flight, with individual wines

This has to be some of the best food that we have enjoyed recentlybut the overall stay was not so good as expected.
Dining at Lewtrenchard Manor cannot be faulted -this has to be the best in Devon surely ????
We had a room that was cold when we arrived, an electric heater did finally top the temperature up to acceptable. Beautiful views from all the windows, and country house period furnishings, but no luxuries in this very high priced room.
No fridge, no tea making facilities ( although complimentary tea in the room before breakfast) The Bathroom in dire need of refurbishment, a tiny bath that
