This is not only reflected in the customers who pass their tests but in the level and the standards of tuition our customers receive.
With the benefit of a driving instructor with a high pass rate, you can be assured that you will receive patient and effective tuition to the highest standard. All lessons are taken at the customers own pace. Therefore more confident and naturally gifted drivers will be encouraged to progress quicker, whereas a more anxious less able driver will be allowed more time and encouragement to progress as fast as they feel comfortable with.

Services
There are a number of reasons for this. The main one is that currently in the UK, if you pass your driving test in a manual car, that entitles you to drive "automatic cars" as well. However that doesn't apply if you pass your test in an automatic car, you are only entitled to drive automatics. If you wish to drive manual cars then you would need to take another driving test.
Peter Skelton Driving School provide automatic driving lessons in Newbury, Thatcham and Basingstoke. Automatic driving lessons were something of a rarity many years ago to the extent I rarely ever got asked if I do them. Nowadays possibly 50 per cent of enquiries are for such lessons. Now is a good time if you do want to take automatic lessons.
Intensive driving lessons may be just what you're looking for. Some people don't want to spend months of their time taking one or two hour driving lessons per week, therefore an intensive or semi-intensive course may be the right thing for you. Our courses do not include the booking of the practical driving test.
Whether you're feeling nervous about going out on the road or just a little rusty, perhaps some refresher lessons are just the thing for you. Whether you have passed your driving test recently or many years ago we can tailor lessons to suit your needs. The lessons can cover any aspect of driving including; refresher lessons after a long absence of driving, motorway driving, parking or anything else that may leave you feeling anxious.
Motorway Driving Lessons are something that many pupils ask for either during lessons are after their driving test. Now that pupils can drive on motorways as learners then we can incorporate motorway driving on lessons before the pupil goes to test. However pupils never go on motorways as part of the driving test.

Louise was teaching me to drive since June of this year, through a horrendous rota from work on my behalf, different appointments and isolation(s) I was finally able to pass my test in November after only 28 hours of driving. Louise with easy to talk to, helpful and really informative with her driving knowledge, I know I wouldnāt have passed without her as my instructor and all the help she has given me over the last 5 months. Tomasz taught me to drive and Peter stepped in to save the day when Tomasz came down with covid two weeks before my test. Both are fantastic instructors who will teach you to drive beyond the test, so that you really are ready for the roads.
Tomasz was the perfect instructor for me - patient, supportive, encouraging and understanding. He takes pride in adapting his teaching to your learning style and encouraging you to push your comfort zone just the right amount.

After 14 years since passing my test (and no driving) it was great to get back on the road in a new area and Peter made the refresher lessons enjoyable. Peter helped build up my confidence on the road and the lessons were suited to what I wanted to do.
