Nick Cornish School of Motoring has been operating in the Newbury area since 1985, the fact that we have grown from one car to a fleet of ten vehicles is indicative of the high level of demand for skilled instruction. We believe learning to drive is a life skill. The initial ability of controlling the vehicle is straight forward, to master the hazard perception takes time and experience.
I am writing to share my experience in learning to drive with Nick Cornish and to recommend him as a top driving instructor. At the age of thirty four, I did not think I would be a good driver but he proved me wrong. Initially I started lessons with a different instructor but I found the level of tuition unsatisfactory.
I had the choice between male or female instructors and lessons where arranged to fit my timetable. I started learning to drive when I was 17 having a lesson on my birthday. On my first lesson I was surprised to find how relaxing and calming the instructor was. We first briefly went through all the different aspects of the car including the different controls and functions.
