The independent driving part of the test used to last around 10 minutes. During this part of the test, you would have to drive without turn-by-turn directions from the driving examiner e.g. During the independent driving part of the test, you may be asked to follow directions from a sat nav. The examiner will provide the sat nav (currently a TomTom Start 52).

Matt is a calm, fantastic, and friendly instructor. All of his instructions, teaching and tips were excellent and easy to understand and implement, and he kept me calm and positive even though I was really nervous about driving. I would definitely recommend MSM driving school to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

It’s an immense pleasure to achieve my dream to be on wheels, to be honest I wouldn’t be able to achieve this without your guidance and support. I would certainly recommend Matt as a driving Instructor, with his great patience and kindness as well as his constructive feedback when on driving, or any questions you might have after your driving lesson, Matt had always been there to give me reassurance and advice especially as three of my tests were cancelled through lockdown, his professional and dedicated persona outdoubtly helped me through that time...And his encouraging "You can do this" attitude certainly helped me to pass my test! He is the number one!

He is so patient he gives you enough time to learn and he is always there to help,
and repeat anything that you are not sure about!
I just passed today, and I definitely would not be able to, if he was not there for me.

I definitely recommend MSM driving school especially if you're a student as there's lots of room to book lessons around your timetable and lots of flexibility to change if needed! Jason was a great instructor and very patient when I had questions or struggled. I passed on my first attempt with only a few minors, definitely worth the price and Jason was great and explaining things to me and helping me gain my confidence driving. Would recommend to anyone and any student looking to learn whist at uni!

After being let down by my previous instructor at another school a week before my test, I contacted MSM Driving School. My instructor Matt, did an assessment of my driving and made a plan of what I needed to practice. I passed first first time. I wish I had come to you for lessons from the start. Thank you so much.
