If you are looking for a friendly, professional and experienced vet to care for your every need, here at South Coast Equestrian we highly recommend Milton Equine Surgery. We have 29 horses of all different shapes and sizes and Milton equine assess and treat all of our horses suffering illness or injury, they carry out our vettings of new horses, scanning of broodmares and artificial insemination, aswell as routine dentistry and worming counts.
Equine dentistry is now a regular everyday occurrence in equine veterinary practice. Thankfully there have been many significant advances in the routine veterinary treatment of the horse's dentition. Roger has attended many dentistry courses, most recently the Advanced Equine Dentistry Course held at the University of Bristol.
AI is one of the most popular methods of breeding horses (except for the racing thoroughbred). Milton Equine Veterinary Clinic is now a BEVA-recognised AI Centre. There are three methods of AI: using chilled, frozen or fresh semen. Fresh semen is limited to inseminating mares on the stud immediately following semen collection from the stallion.
I have been a client of Milton Equine ever since the practice opened. Roger and his staff are unfailingly friendly, professional, realistic and immensely helpful at all levels.
