We really believe in offering you top quality eye care and taking our time to do it properly. After graduating from Cardiff University Stephen completed his pre-registration training in England, before returning to N. Ireland to take up the role of optometrist within the Harris Rundle practice on the Cregagh Road over the next 14 years.
As we are an Independent Practice we have a fantastic variety of types and brands of contact lenses. Our expertise will ensure you find the right type of contact lens to suit you and your lifestyle. These have the advantage of being easy to wear, providing good comfort without a long period of adaptation.
It is not necessary for a child to be able to read or even speak in order for eye professionals like Stephen to check if glasses are required to improve their vision. Stephen Rea Opticians offers child-friendly tests that will tell us - and you - everything we need to know about your child's eye health.

I have visited this Opticians now for several years and have always found Stephen to be very thorough and professional. Both he and his staff are also very friendly and chatty. There is a very good selection of frames, competitively priced, as well as various contact lens options (I wear both). Stephen's advice has always been much appreciated and I will be returning soon for my annual eye check.
