Eye examinations are an important way of monitoring your general health and maintaining your eyes at the optimum focus. Whether its difficulty reading small print or with night driving an eye examination will provide the information needed to get you back in focus with glasses or contact lenses. Carmel will discuss the results of your examination with you and if any further investigations are needed.

In recent years the technology used to produce and fit contact lenses has advanced dramatically, making them incredibly easy to use and comfortable to wear for everyone, irrespective of age. There are literally hundreds of different contact lenses available. Whether you would like to wear the lenses every day or just for sport or socialising, there is a lens to suit you.
It is never too early to have your child's eyes tested. It is well known that child with vision issues may experience development challenges. Some of these may be identified early with regular eye tests, giving your child the best start. Specialist professional training allowing us to assess the vision of children from age 2.5 years and upwards.
The most common type of specific learning difficulty is specific reading difficulty and this is often called dyslexia. Dyslexic children are usually poor at spelling and may seem intelligent in conversation, but have trouble with written language. One of the most common visual anomalies in dyslexia is poor or unstable co-ordination of the two eyes (binocular instability).

Excellent service, really competent, having been in public and private care in the republic for my child for years, we've definitely received most thorough, trustworthy care with Carmel.
