The Harp is a lovely old Welsh longhouse inn perched on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Radnor Valley, close to the Powys/Herefordshire border. Independently owned and run by Chris and Angela Ireland with, since 2018, the invaluable support of head chef Josh Smith and general manager Katie Marsden, the Harp is a real pub, with ancient slate floors, oak beams, antique settles and a huge open log fire.
When we took it over in 2010 our ambition was simply to turn it into the sort of place we would want to visit for good food, good beer, comfortable rooms and friendly service. Our cosy bar now offers cask-conditioned real ales, local cider and perry, and a wide range of good wines and soft drinks.

This is a beautiful friendly local pub to visit the views are extraordinary, as was the Sunday lunch, well cooked with great flavours, the leaks in white sauce were flavoursome, the food was well presented on hot plates. We sat beside the fire 🔥 which was beautiful and warm.
For a rural location they had a good and reasonable wine list.
The young staff were friendly and welcoming
Would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

This is in a lovely position with extensive views of the Welsh hills. Our Sunday meal was simple, well presented and well cooked. The two young members of staff were very attentive and helpful. We found the room we were in could have been warmer but overall good pub grub and atmosphere. There is seating outside where on the day, in bright sunshine, many seemed to be enjoying the views. I'd recommend it as a place to head for especially in the warm weather, well worth a visit.
