Sometimes the road we find ourselves on leads us into difficult, challenging territory and we lose our sense of direction and wonder if we'll make it through. Counselling sessions offer companionship and confidential help along your way. They offer support through difficult times and help you search for new and creative ways of moving on again.
Your counsellor is your ally and is there to accompany you on your (not their) journey. I am a BACP accredited counsellor and a trained supervisor. I work in Maidstone and West Malling, where I offer both short and long-term support to individuals and couples. My approach is eclectic.

Services
I live in Maidstone with my wife. We have a son and daughter, now in their 20's, who are settling into their own lives. Most of my days centre around my therapeutic work. When there is a window of opportunity I tend to turn to music, which has played a a significant role in my entire life. I also love being out of town and out of doors.
Counselling provides you with an ally as you move along your life's path. It gives you a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore what is going on in your life -where you can say the unsay-able and think the unthinkable. There you can work through confusions and weigh difficult decisions.
That whatever issues you bring, you also bring the potential for working through those issues successfully. That the better your life expresses you, the happier and more rewarding it will be for you. That you carry in you a natural impulse to evolve and grow - both inwardly and in your external life.
Buridan's Ass and Wilbur In one of his numerous books, Irving Yalom tells the old tale of 'Buridan's Ass'. This poor undecided creature starved to death when it found itself equidistant between two equally tempting and delicious bales of hay. It could choose which to taste first and that freedom was.
