Nice course ..... tricky and with character ...... staff really friendly

Very poor condition today. Greens were awful, how you can charge for playing it in this state is beyond me. Yes agree it October but considering I played stratford park 2 days ago that was amazing.

This is a lovely place to go to to play golf and to sit in the bar area as well even waiting for someone to finish playing golf
I do not go to golf courses a lot but admire ones that look smarter than that of others, however you did say to myself that maybe I am more suited to a different golf course in leicester but I didn’t really like that one so I came here .
I love crazy golf as well and find this sport more fun to play as a family where even the children can join in
Often playing this with my daughters on holidays but If you like smart golf courses you may like it here .

Really welcomed at the club by the golf pro and also by the cafe on the course topped off by a great round.

Lovely parkland course. Par 72 with several long par 4s. It is a relatively flat course so ideal for senior golfers but still with plenty of challenging holes. It is kept in very good condition and the greens are also very good with consistent pace.
The practice area includes two nets, pitching and putting areas, all kept in good order.
There is also a 'halfway' house near the first tee and 12th green where you can buy a selection of hot and cold drinks, bacon or sausage baps, sausage rolls etc. all of a good standard.
The clubhouse is also very nice with a good outdoor seating area.

We play Glen Gorse every year in their festival week and have always been made to feel very welcome. The course is very well presented and challenging without being unfair. If you have the opportunity to play it you won't be disappointed well worth a day out .

Superb Valentines Day dinner, especially the Beef Wellington. Thank you to all the staff.

Fantastic course. First visit. Fairly flat, but not uninteresting. Greens were superb - very fast, but receptive, ball would bite/spin if struck well. Not played on greens this good in years. Rest of the course in great condition, bunkers and tees also excellent. Will be back asap!

I was recently at a friends wedding and I’m appalled by this place and they way they treated the married couple! There was not enough seating for the guests, nor enough food for everyone. When the families brought this issue up, the staff at this place had the audacity to stand at the top table arguing with the bride and her mother on their wedding day! As a guest this made me furious! I will never visit this venue again and I certainly will never recommend this venue to anyone.

Very good course, apart from the bunkers. The members need to learn how to rake their bunkers properly or the green staff should be doing it. They were very poor. Greens were excellent and consistent.

Fantastic Sunday lunch great service all the staff were friendly and made our family most welcome will definitely go again and take our family next time

I had a flat tyre last week and whilst waiting for a new tyre the staff at the golf club made myself and 4 children very welcome. Although we didn't play any golf we were well looked after during the 3 hour wait. It made a tricky situation much more bearable. Thanks very much.
