I’ll split this review in to 2 parts. The 1st part is relative to the welcome that you receive at Birstall Golf Club, and all I can say is that the older chap who resides in the pro-shop is without doubt the rudest most arrogant man I have ever had welcome me at any golf course.
Polite greeting = No
Friendly conversation = No
Any form of positive body language to welcome a visitor to the club = No
The only time he appeared interested in any way was when he realised he could charge me £5 extra because it was now the 1st April.
The 2nd part is about the course, which I’m pleased to say

I purchased £100 of golf vouchers for my partners 40th birthday ( as he hadn’t played here before and heard it was a nice course) he tried calling one Saturday no answer , he tried 8 times over the day! No answer. So left it until the week after , same again called lots of times the day before he wanted to play no answer! So he decided to pack his… stuff up and just turn up , the man on the desk was very rude and said I’ve been here all morning and the phone hasn’t rang! My partner said I think you need to get the line checked then! Then he said anyway you can&rsquo

A course where even professionals struggle with small greens and tight fairways you have to be pretty straight off the TEE to give yourself chance to score well, I have been member for many years now, i never get tired or bored of playing this course. most definitely the friendliest club,If you make our professional smile on your visit ! He'll be your friend for life.....!!!🛎️😜
