The Oxford Cat Clinic
At the Oxford Cat Clinic we are dedicated to gentle, compassionate veterinary care for your feline friends. We believe that good feline medicine takes time, which is why we spend at least 20 minutes with you and your cat at every consultation. We offer a simple way to budget for the preventive healthcare needs of your cat at any age.

When visiting the Oxford Cat Clinic we feel sure you will notice the difference as soon as you walk through the door -- we know your cat will! A link between a recent spike in cases of this serious disease and a potential link with certain diets is being investigated by the RVC. Go to our Blog for more details on which diets, advice on whether you should be concerned and what you should do to check.

It is 15 years since Martha Cannon and CarolineBlundell first opened The Oxford Cat Clinic. In that time we have continued to grow, and now occupy 2 sites in Oxford. We are looking for an enthusiastic, happy soul to join our first-opinion team this summer. We pride ourselves on providing gold standard service to our first-opinion and referral clients and in our high standards of clinical care and compassion for our patients.
We are the only cat clinic in the UK to have an onsite Specialist and so we offer a unique opportunity to nurse complex and challenging cases to a high standard of care. You can see that this role is both interesting and varied but don't worry, if you lack experience in some or all of these areas we offer full training where needed, attitude and character fit are of more importance to us.
The desire to deliver a high level of client care and to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in our practices is crucial to us. Applicants should be able to empathise with clients and colleagues alike, have a love for customer service and be confident working in a busy working environment.

The role includes general reception and admin duties, such as answering the phone, dealing with queries, and taking messages accurately, booking appointments, taking payments, replying to emails and supporting the clinical team in the smooth running of the Clinics. If you like to work in a controlled environment where your full list of tasks is completed each day this job is not for you.

Great service. Phoned up the first day after New Year's bank holiday and got an appointment same day.
Initial appointment got cancelled due to an emergency which is understandable, but the staff went above and beyond to secure me another appointment at their other branch just over an hour later on the same day.
The vet was very kind, friendly and informative. We've not had our own pet before, the vet helped us feel more at ease after explaining many of our questions and concerns.
Thank you!

The vets always take their time examining my cats, never hurried. Always a pleasant experience for me and them

Spent a fortune at this clinic with a couple of our cats in a past and recently, but finally decided to change vets after losing patience completely. Where do I start... Receptionists (or someone who answers a phone/sits at a counter) are usually completely clueless - unable to find records, provide correct information. There is no good practice of documenting things discussed, services provided, emails sent. Appointments booked online are cancelled saying that "it is too far in advance" but never call back to re-arrange the appointment as promised. Spent over a thousand last year for scans after

Caroline is a great listener and watcher. My hour long consultation turned into 90 mins.
Followed up with very long letter and notes about possible causes and treatment. Cat still under review. Would highly recommend

Just wanted to say big thank you to this amazing Cat Clinic and their staff who took quickly a stray cat to look at her as I was concern about her jaw. I called few local vet clinics and they were worried more about the payments (who will pick the bill because this cat wasn’t mine) rather than about the cat’s well-being. I was very disappointment in this attitude of other vet clinics and I was so pleased and relieved when Oxford Cat Clinic agreed to take a look at the cat as an emergency appointment.
At the end the cat was ok, it wasn’t a jaw problem at all it was only a dislocated tooth

Martha Cannon and her team have been absolutely brilliant. The care, attention and professionalism is delivered with real humanity in a down to earth style. She has led me through the process of identifying and managing my cat's condition when I was beginning to loose hope that she would ever be comfortable again. It's an ongoing process, but Martha inspires confidence. I can't thank her enough. Its worth the drive from London with a cat that doesn't like travelling.

Quite simply FANTASTIC. Compasionate and knowledgeable vets who treat us and our cats (now just cat :-() with care and respect. Living in Didcot we went to them as a last resort having recieved a shocking service from our local vet when one cat was very poorly and have now moved our other cat to them as well. They are specialist feline vets and are therefore much more knowledgeable when it comes to cats and are able to offer wide ranging treatments which you wouldn't get elsewhere. They also handled our pet insurance claim for us and the whole process was extemely smooth. I really can&apos
