We have a Vacancies section on the website. Please see this section for current vacancies at The Willows if you're interested in coming to work with us!. We are all working hard to try and achieve a million minutes of reading by the end of the academic year - See how we are doing below. So far, the children have read for a total of 526,620 minutes (the equivalent of 8777 hours of reading) since the start of September.

We now have 4 classes with a total of over 1000 hours! We have 473,380 minutes (7890 hours) left to read in order to achieve our challenge. Please continue to support and encourage your child/ren to read for at least 10 minutes a day, recorded in their reading record and signed by a parent. West Berkshire Council run an extremely useful directory of services which every family should know about.
Services
Seesaw is the online learning platform we are using to support home learning. We also outline where you can find other helpful videos to use the different creative tools that children might want to use in order to complete their home learning. Every child received a text code to the number we have on file for you.
We know that everyone's home setup is slightly different. If your child is not already in school with a key worker or vulnerable place and you are struggling to access home learning, we can help. If you have a SIM device (Mobile phone/SIM enabled tablet) but have limited data, we have a number of free data SIMs with 30GB data that last up to 90 days.
This information can be found in the local authority's composite prospectus which is published on their website. Schools are required to publish details of their school curriculum on their website.
At our school we strive to ensure that pupils not only become great learners but also responsible and active citizens. Children are taught that learning is a journey and that there are steps that we can all take to understand our own learning in order to make progress on that journey. In the Early Years Foundation Stage, children are introduced to learning buddies who each display a characteristic of learning.
Occasionally we need to recruit governors to the governing board of The Willows Primary School. 3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent. Our Governors are all either elected or appointed for a four year term according to our Instrument of Government, which is approved by the Local Authority (West Berkshire), in order to ensure we have a cross section of opinions and experience.
